Xu Kai helped Cheng Xiao into the room after so many difficulties. Cheng Xiao held tightly onto her clothes and looked at him with an accusation. "What are you trying to do?" She questioned him.
"You need to change into another clothes." He said walking towards her.
"I can do it by myself, I don't need your help." She said backing away from me.
She stumbled and was about to fall, Xu Kai rushed to her side and grabbed her waist preventing her from falling. Cheng Xiao grabbed on his collar for support and they both fell backwards.
Xu Kai landed on top of her, Cheng Xiao could feel Xu Kai's breath on her cheek and felt her heart beating fast. She sucked in the air and smelled his cologne; Xu Kai lifted his head, and his face came in front of her.
Cheng Xiao looked into his eyes and swallowed her saliva, right now all she was thinking was the kiss they once shared. Without any hesitation she placed her lips on his, Xu Kai was stunned and froze in place.
This was the first time she ever made the first move; Cheng Xiao was about to pull away. Xu Kai held her head and kissed her. Their lips moved in sync and Cheng Xiao patted on Xu Kai's shoulder when she felt that she was running out of air.
Xu Kai pulled out of the kiss and held her in his arms. Cheng Xiao felt shy and realized what happened and pushed him off her. She sat on the floor gathering her breath and her thoughts as well.
"I will call a maid to come and help you to change your clothes." Xu Kai said standing up from the floor.
"No need!" Although she was still drunk, she could manage to change her clothes on her own.
Shen Mu on the other hand was with Hu Yiting. Hu Yiting helped her into her apartment and went in, he helped her sit on the couch and went to the kitchen.
"Why did you drink so much?" Hu Yiting asked bringing her a cup with honey water.
"Cheng Xiao is going through a lot, compared to me, she is more drunk." Shen Mu replied taking the cup from his hands.
Hu Yiting after handing her the water went and sat next to her. "What was bothering her that she had to drink so much?" Hu Yiting asked.
"The guy that she was seeing before your friend married her by force." She spoke.
"E-y you cannot say that." He tried to defend.
"You know what I mean." She said giving him an eye.
"Anyway, the guy was angry and went to his mother saying that Cheng Xiao was hooking up with her boss the whole time they were meeting. His mother went to her mother and her mother called her to ask her what was happening. It was the first time her mother had ever questioned her." She spoke.
"Back then, she would have left the secretary position, but her mother got sick and needed a lot of money for treatment." Shen Mu spoke with a sigh.
