"This is the strongest team in Fairy Tail," Lucy declared confidently as she pointed at Eisenwald. "You should prepare yourselves!"
Of course, Eisenwald didn't look worried, only angry. Especially Kageyama, who was glaring at Nozomi angrily in particular.
"I'll leave the rest to you, while I go and play the flute," Eligor declared as he flew up and towards the window. "Let these clueless flies… Feel the power of Eisenwald's Darkness!" He broke through the window and began to fly away.
"Coward," Mira hissed angrily as the main target flew away.
"Nozomi, Gray, you both go after him!" Erza snapped at them.
"Huh?" They both blinked.
"If you two work together, there's no way you would lose to Erigor!"
They both turned and began to glare at each other angrily.
"I'll go with them," I told Erza. "You, Lucy, and Mira are more than enough for this crowd, right?"
Erza looked at me and nodded. "Yes, we can handle this. The more people after Erigor, the better. Mira, Lucy and I can deal with this crowd."
"Fine by me," Mira grinned wickedly. "I've been wanting to let out some pent up aggression ever since this damned trip started, and taking it out on these guys? Sounds like bliss!"
"M- Me too?" Lucy pointed at herself. "Just the three of us…?"
"Sounds like a plan then," I smirked teasingly at Lucy. "Good luck."
"You-!" Lucy's face turned red as she realised that I was messing with her.
"Nozomi, Gray, try to keep up if you can," I told them. "Or I'll defeat Erigor first… Meteor!"
Using the power of Heavenly Body Magic, I soared away from the group. The cries of Nozomi and Gray followed behind as they began to give chase, but I'd already turned the corner and left their sights.
I already knew what Erigor's plan was… He would have liked to test Lullaby out on the people, but now that we'd arrived, he'd decided to abandon that and focus directly on the guild master meeting…
I made my way outside the front… The barrier hadn't been set up yet… Good, I'd use this chance.
"Hey, what are you-?" One of the managers protested as I took his megaphone from him.
"This station has been occupied by Dark Mages!" I told them. "One of them is planning a spell to kill everyone around this place! If you value your life, then evacuate immediately!"
There was a beat of silence before they people immediately began to run away, screaming with raw panic as the fear of potential death overwhelmed them.
"H- Hey, why did you say that!?" One of the station managers asked.
"I'd rather they all panic than die," I told them. "I suggest you run too, because I didn't say a word of a lie."
Their eyes bugged out of their skull… And self-preservation took over as they both ran away without hesitation.
I nodded and made my way back inside… I wanted to minimise collateral damage, so I couldn't confront Eligor here. So, there was no point waiting outside for the wind barrier to form, I'd chase after him later.
For now, I made my way through the building, as thought I were looking for Erigor in the building…
I suddenly stopped as my enhanced senses felt something… Off when I entered one of the rooms, as if I were being watched…
That was right, two Eisenwald members split apart from the group in canon… Who was to say a third wouldn't join them to come after me?
"You can come out… I know you're there."
"… Heh… Didn't think you flies had so much awareness of your surroundings," a voice spoke, and I turned towards it as I saw a man step out from behind a piece of machinery.
His hair was short and green with matching eyes, wearing a blue shirt, black pants, and a black jacket… He had a confident, wicked smirk on his face. As though he was superior to me, better than me.
Who did this lowly mortal think he was?
"The scent of 'weak' was so pungent in here, I couldn't help but notice it," I told him. "I wonder, how long were you waiting in here that you filled this place with your pathetic stench?"
His smile faded and anger flashed across his face before he calmed himself and chuckled. "Acting tough, are we? Don't think I'm stupid, you flies are nothing serious… Just weaklings…" He chuckled. "I'll take you down nice and quick, so you can't interfere in our plans."
"Oh, and how do you plan to do that?" I asked him mockingly.
"Obviously, I'll kill you with my magic," he smirked as a magic circle formed, green in colour.
Kill me… This lowly mortal, dares to think himself capable of killing me…? How amusing…!
My God's eye flickered to life as I used Meteor to dodge the stream of water that surged at me, landing in a crouch on the ceiling.
"Heh, not talking so tough now, are you, fly?" He said mockingly to the space I was standing mere moments before.
"Where are you looking, worm?" I asked from my place on the ceiling, causing him to look up sharply. "I'm right here."
His eyes widened. "Wha- But I was sure I just hit you!" He exclaimed.
"I'm still waiting," I told him. "For you to kill me with your magic."
His eyes narrowed in rage. "You…! I'll make you regret angering the great Levin!" He roared as he unleashed a greater surge of water magic at me.
Levin, huh…? … What a weakling, not even worthy of being in the show.
I hummed as I dodged his attack once again… And as I saw the light amount of damage his attack caused, and looked down at the ground, I grinned slowly… I could take him out quickly, but I had to kill time anyway, right?
I want to play with this toy until it breaks.
"Where are you aiming?" I scoffed, smirking at him from another spot in the room. "I'm over here!"
Dodge.
"Honestly, your aim is so bad…"
Dodge.
"Performance issues? Need something extra to boost you?"
Dodge.
"Honestly, at this point this isn't even funny anymore. It's sad. Maybe try using your tears to boost your magic?"
"You!" Levin roared as he kept attacking me in a blind rage, and I just kept dodging… Letting him dig his own grave.
I smirked as I finally came to a stop as I could see the visible exhaustion on his face… I was standing in the doorway, while he stood in the middle of the room, breathing heavily.
"You… Bastard… Stop dodging…" He growled.
"There's no need to dodge anymore," I chuckled in amusement and pointed to the ceiling.
He looked confused and slowly looked up… Before I saw his eyes widen in shock and horror.
The ceiling was soaked and damaged by his own attacks… The water had weakened it further, and now it was only one hit away from crumbling and burying him in this room.
He would live… Probably.
"You…" He looked at me. "You… W- What kind of light guild member are you?"
"Haa…?" I raised an eye. "You're targeting my family with your attacks… The Guild Master conference, right?"
"H- How did you-!?"
"I won't forgive anyone who tries to hurt my family," I told him, aiming a single finger at the ceiling.
"W- Wait!" He tried to protest.
I had no mercy for him.
"Gravity Magic: Increase."
The ceiling buckled and I turned away without a second thought, walking away.
"N- No! Please! AHHHHHH!!"
I just continued to walk away, not concerning myself with him. It didn't matter to me if he lived or died…
I passed by a window and stopped as I saw my reflection in the mirror.
… Is that… Me?
The face was the same… The eyes were the same…
But what was that sickening, sadistic smile?
I lifted up to my own face and felt it, feeling the wicked grin on my face.
My smile faded instantly from my reflection.
… Was I… Relishing in that Eisenwald member's potential death?
That wasn't like me. That wasn't like me at all.
'BB, what's going on here?'
[Hm~ Who's to say? ~] The eldritch goddess spoke as she appeared, floating above me as she stared down at me in amusement.
I bit my tongue, stopping myself from demanding answers… She was an Eldritch Goddess, anything she told me would be a lie at best, and manipulative at worst.
"Nyarlathotep… Does this have anything to do with my evolving Flugel Bloodline…?" I finally asked after a few moments of recomposing myself.
BB stopped as I invoked her Eldritch name, her smile fading as her eyes turned as red as blood. [You shouldn't invoke my name so casually, Senpai. You might draw the attention of the others… You don't want beings like Yog or Shub becoming interested in you, do you?]
I felt my skin crawl at her words.
Yog-Sothoth.
Shub-Niggurath.
… No. I very much did not want to draw the other outer gods to look at me.
"… I apologise… But can you please answer my question…?"
She stared at me before her eyes returned to normal and she went back to being all smiles, as if nothing happened. [Well, okay~ As you guessed, it's your Flugel Bloodline~ After all… Your kind don't do well with morals or empathy, you know?]
I took a deep breath… As expected then… I'd have to keep a better handle on my emotions from now on, and make sure I didn't start to lose them completely…
I heard the sounds of loud explosions… Nozomi must be on her rampage looking for Erigor…
I took a deep breath, holding my head… I took a few minutes to calm myself down, right now my head wasn't on straight, and they'd be concerned if they saw me right now.
In…
Out…
In…
Out…
I exhaled one last time… I felt better now that I'd taken a moment to calm down…
The explosions had also died down… I decided to make my way outside, to see if the group had also headed out there with the time I'd taken calming down.
I stepped outside to the others in front of the Wind Barrier, worried looks on their faces. Kageyama was laying on the ground with bandages on his body, and the others- Mira included- looked worried.
"What's the situation?" I asked them.
"We're trapped," Erza said, "this wind barrier is keeping us in, and the only person who can possibly break it is too injured to help us."
"Then what if we subverted it?" I asked them, pulling out Virgo's key.
Lucy gasped. "That's right, I forgot you have a Gold Celestial Spirit Key too!"
"You have a way out of this?" Mira asked.
I gave a nod. "Virgo specialises in Earth and Diver Magic… If we can't go through or above, we'll go below."
"Great!" Gray grinned.
"Hurry it up!" Nozomi told me.
I nodded and swiped my hand. "Open, Gate of the Maiden: Virgo!"
A golden magic circle appeared at my feet before Virgo leapt out of it with an elegant twirl, landing in front of me, bowing on one knee. She looked up at me affectionate blue eyes, her pink hair rustling in the wind from the wall.
"How may I serve you, my Lord?" She asked.
"How pretty," Lucy whispered. "I'm so jealous…!"
"Virgo, use your magic and create a big enough hole that leads under this wind wall and can take us outside," I commanded her.
She bowed and acted without another word, a hole appearing in the ground and growing in size as she headed out to the other side.
Nozomi carried Kageyama as all of us climbed through the hole and back out on the other side of the wind wall.
"We're finally out," Mira sighed in relief. "But that bastard must be so far ahead of us!"
"Sorry, but we're going to go on ahead then, we can't let him get away," I told the others as I wrapped an arm around Nozomi's waist, my wings flaring from my back. "Let's go, Nozomi."
"Eh-? Wait-!"
"Meteor!"
I shot into the sky, soaring through the sky as we followed Erigor's trail.
"H- Hey, let me down!" Nozomi complained.
"Oh, my bad, I thought you wanted to fight him before the others got a chance," I told Nozomi.
Her eyes lit up and she grinned. "Faster, you bastard! Let's catch him!"
I just smirked as I cranked up the speed.
We were approaching the climax.
