Time Unknown…
The following days were overcast, with clouds gathering low over the village, but there seemed to be no signs of rain or anything like that. The flower seller's shop remained closed, as it often did on days when he wanted to dedicate himself fully to the garden. He was kneeling in the soil, his hands gently brushing the earth around a row of fragile seedlings that he had planted a day or two prior, humming softly to himself—the same tune that had been echoing in his dreams.
From the road beyond the shop, the cloaked figure of the traveler from before appeared once more. This time, the traveler knew her destination. She paused at the closed door of the shop, didn't expect something like that to happen.
Her head moved, scanning the surrounding area; her gaze sharp and searching. At that moment, the little boy was skipping toward the shop, a small basket in hand. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the traveler, his eyes lighting up as though he recognized her.
