He had originally thought that Katherine might have summoned him over, possibly under David's instruction, to shame him mercilessly to his face.
But it turned out, he was judging an honourable man with a petty man's mind.
At this moment, all of Sullivan's dissatisfaction and complaints about David had vanished without a trace, and he even felt a bit of admiration for David's magnanimity.
Because if Sullivan had won this struggle, let alone keeping David in office, not going for the kill would have seemed merciful.
