"Who?" In the dark room, Lai Xiaosan immediately woke up, swiftly grabbed his pistol, and called out warily.
Lai Xiaosan, originally asleep, was startled awake by the sudden sound. In the pitch-black space, he vigilantly held his pistol, his keen eyes scanning the surroundings, then slowly he turned on the lights in the room.
"Bang!" The sound was Lai Xiaosan firing his gun.
"Chairman Lai, I've long admired your reputation," Yet, immediately following was a cold female voice.
"Are you a human or a ghost?" Lai Xiaosan's voice trembled as he asked.
Lai Xiaosan was almost panic-stricken, with wide-open eyes filled with uncontrollable shock and suspicion. He had clearly aimed and shot at her just now, yet she stood there, unmoving as if nothing had happened.
Had it not been for the sound of her voice, he would have thought the person standing by his bed was a wooden puppet.
Could it really be a ghost?
But this person had a shadow and could speak; she couldn't possibly be a ghost.
