Lin Moyu asked, "What realm is required?"
Discernment Beast replied, "Best if you're at the eternal level. Of course, if your Dao heart is strong enough, and your will is firm enough, you could learn it when you're close to eternity."
Being "close to eternity" isn't really a realm, but a concept. In fact, eternity isn't a realm either it's a state.
Realm Lord is a title, a kind of authority, not a cultivation realm.
Strictly speaking, Dao Lord is the limit in terms of realm, though there are stronger and weaker Dao Lords.
The weakest are Projected Dao Lords, divided into Branch Dao Lords and Origin Dao Lords, with Branch being the weakest.
Above that is the True Body Dao Lord, who stands out among those with the same root and source, able to enter the Origin Ancestral Land at will and nearly fully control their own Great Dao, leaving their mark.
Of course, even among True Body Dao Lords, there are Branch and Origin types this is due to the type of Great Dao they control, not their realm; their realms are the same, the difference is only in combat power.
Above that is the Great Dao Lord.
Great Dao Lords are also called eternal existences they are the pinnacle of Dao Lords and of this world.
They cast their Great Dao into the Returning Origin Land, with their Dao radiating to every corner of both real and virtual worlds. Wherever they are, they can use their full strength without restriction.
As long as the Returning Origin Land isn't destroyed, they cannot die at most, they fall dormant, with a chance to recover.
Once a Great Dao is cast into the Returning Origin Land, its master is fixed and cannot be replaced hence, they are called eternal.
If a Dao hasn't entered the Returning Origin Land, the struggle between Dao Lords continues even True Body Dao Lords can be replaced.
Discernment Beast's "close to eternity" means first becoming a True Body Dao Lord, then reaching the highest point and attempting to approach the Returning Origin Land.
Apart from the cultivator's Dao Lord path, the few Emperors in the Soul Void are also eternal existences. For them, becoming an Emperor is proving the Dao; as long as their Great Spirit Domain isn't destroyed, they cannot die.
Even if Human Sovereign schemed to seize the World Tree Emperor's position, stealing his innate origin virtual treasure and trapping him in the Beast Abyss, the World Tree Emperor still didn't die.
He's still resisting, and might yet reclaim his position as Emperor.
This is a completely different path from that of cultivators.
Discernment Beast is a virtual beast; its path is similar to an Emperor's, but even more mysterious not an Emperor, yet able to exist eternally.
From Discernment Beast's words, Lin Moyu realized it doesn't know that the Returning Origin Land can no longer accommodate new Great Daos.
He isn't even a Dao Lord yet, let alone close to eternity.
But Lin Moyu had a doubt his path is different from other Dao Lords.
When he becomes a Dao Lord, he may not compete in the Great Dao struggle; according to his plan, he'll give up five Daos and cultivate only the Immortality Great Dao.
Since he's the only one with the Immortality Great Dao, how could there be any struggle?
But it's unlikely he'd become a True Body Dao Lord or even a Great Dao Lord immediately otherwise, wouldn't he reach eternity in a single step upon becoming a Dao Lord? The world's rules are strict; Lin Moyu feels that's not possible.

Discernment Beast said, "Why bother learning? Isn't this old fellow here? As long as you pay, I'll come whenever you call."

He tossed it over: "Here's the third piece."

By rights, Discernment Beast should help him three times.

It trailed off, but Lin Moyu could tell Discernment Beast had paid a lot for it in the past.
Redstone Emperor was willing to give Lin Moyu a piece, asking only that he help with something next time he boards the Ferrying Calamity Boat.
Clearly, Redstone Emperor's desire for the Ferrying Calamity Boat is beyond imagination.
At least, Discernment Beast wouldn't go that far.
Discernment Beast said, "Redstone Emperor probably wants you to help him with something on the Ferrying Calamity Boat, right?"
Lin Moyu was startled: "You even guessed that?"
Discernment Beast sighed, "That guy the Ferrying Calamity Boat is his obsession. But it's fine if you really get on it again, help him out. Probably only you can help him now."
From its tone, Lin Moyu realized there must be some special story between Discernment Beast, Redstone Emperor, and the Ferrying Calamity Boat.
