Lake woke up to the sight of Davian, the Alpha was seated at a table in white hotel robes, breakfast in front of him while he went through some reports.
For a few moments, Lake thought he was still dreaming, needing a moment to put together what was going on.
"You're up," Davian said with quiet happiness, leaning forward.
Lake rubbed his eyes, pushing his hair out of his face. "Sorry, I slept off."
"I liked watching you sleep." The Alpha said in his usual honest and straightforward way.
Lake smiled and sat up, "Call again tonight. How did you sleep last night…"
Talking to Davian while he got ready for the day was fun until the Alpha had to leave, then it was just Lake all alone in his room again.
Lake kept his hair out of his face with a hairband, feeling uncomfortably sore although he had slept pretty early and had also slept through the night. He didn't feel as rested as he usually did when he slept with Davian, the Alpha's scent was fainter on his skin this morning as well.
