David was praying silently that Klaus doesn't kill him. His heart was pounding heavily seeing Klaus wasn't responding to his words, instead Klaus was simply looking at him in the eyes and he dared not return the gaze.
His eyes were on the floor. His whole body was shaking profusely knowing that his life could be over in a matter of seconds.
'God. Tessa.... Please just wake up.'
David was praying loudly in his mind for Tessa to wake up, he knew Tessa wouldn't kill him if she was the one deciding, but the horrible monster in front of him wouldn't blink an eye to chop his head away like he did to the rest.
If he could kill Lord Hamilton and Zachary, what were the chances of him surviving?
David's whole body vibrates to that conclusion and he stammers.
"I am innocent..."

Klaus knocked David down before David could finish his sentence. He struck David on the neck, causing David to fall unconscious on the floor.
