Alex blinked, looking up at Jian in surprise. "Oh, yeah? Congratulations! How's she doing?"
Jian's smile softened, a rare gentleness in his otherwise steely demeanor. "She's doing well, but… I can't help but worry. I'm not sure I'll be a good father. There's a lot to prepare for."
Alex gave a small laugh, shaking his head. "You'll do fine. You've always been more mature than me, and I somehow managed to handle… this." He gestured at Lumi, who was now stacking rocks and calling it her "mana tower."
"True," Jian said, smirking. "But you've got that god-race edge. I'm just a regular guy trying to figure it out." He paused, his voice turning thoughtful. "Still, seeing you with her makes me think… maybe I'll manage. Chaos and all."
Alex raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Careful. You might end up with one just like her."
Jian laughed, shaking his head. "If I do, I'm sending them your way for training."
