She walked over to a console and pressed a button, causing a diagram of a single atom to appear on the screen. The diagram began to glow faintly as if it was being energized by some unseen force.
"At low levels, it just destabilizes atoms, makes things decay faster. You can imagine what happens when that process accelerates. But... when I'm furious... the curse explodes. The energy builds up and then boom—it triggers a massive release of radiation. An explosion that causes the affected atoms to react violently, creating a chain reaction."
Alex frowned, trying to wrap his mind around the concept. "So... your anger causes a literal atomic explosion?"
