Chapter 295 - Chapter 293 : Angry Chisei!!

Genji Heavy Industries stood proudly in one of Tokyo's most expensive districts. The building's third and fourth floors had a unique, hollowed-out design with a subway cutting straight through it.

This odd structure had a story: when the Japanese government initially planned to buy the building, they backed out after hearing the astronomical price.

Instead, they rented a section to extend the subway line—an indication of how valuable this piece of real estate was.

Late at night, the temperature dropped significantly. Dew gathered on the treetops along the road, shimmering faintly under the streetlights.

Gen Chisei, stood on the street, his face cold and forbidding, as if daring anyone to approach. In his hand, he gripped the famous sword "Spider Cutter." His usually delicate, almost feminine features were marred by several prominent veins bulging on his forehead.

At this hour, he should have been fast asleep. On a good night, he might even dream of the idyllic Montaivie Beach in France—a place he longed to visit. In his dream, he'd bask under the warm sunlight, happily helping passing, bikini-clad women apply sunscreen.

But instead, the future head of the Yamata no Orochi, the director of Japan's Executive Bureau, was standing on the street, enduring freezing winds below zero. All because of that damned blonde-haired guy who had snuck away with his sister!

Yasha rubbed his hands together, exhaling a puff of white mist as he shivered. Glancing at the Crow-haired man beside him, he lowered his voice and whispered, "Hey, don't you think the young master looks like one of those guys who's just watched his little sister run off with some punk and has nowhere to vent his anger?"

Crow's eye twitched, and he gave Yasha a deathly stare. "If you want to die, don't drag me into it."

"Ahem, I'm just saying."

Yasha shrank back, cautiously glancing at Gen Chisei. He muttered, "It's almost midnight. You don't think that blonde idiot plans to spend the night out there with the Uesugi girl, do you?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Gen Chisei spun around, his sharp gaze slicing through the air like a blade.

Yasha felt a chill run down his neck. His face turned pale as he frantically waved his hands. "No way! Absolutely not!"

"Ugh, one of these days, your mouth is going to get you killed," Crow said with a mocking laugh, clearly enjoying Yasha's discomfort.

"They're coming," Sakura suddenly announced.

Gen Chisei's eyes sharpened immediately. His entire presence grew heavier, more imposing. The veins on his hand bulged as his grip on "Spider Cutter" tightened, his knuckles turning white.

If other Yamata no Orochi members, unaware of the situation, saw this scene, they might think that Gen Chisei was about to use his family's heirloom sword to decapitate some kind of wicked demon.

But the real reason for Gen Chisei's rage was much simpler—and far more infuriating. That damn "blondie" had the audacity to use his filthy "paw" to hold the delicate, jade-like hand of his beloved younger sister.

The girl, dressed in a red-and-white shrine maiden outfit, had long, wine-red hair and a slender, graceful figure. She was walking hand-in-hand with Adam under the dim streetlights of Tokyo's quiet night.

Adam, a handsome and elegant young man with a gentle demeanor, looked every bit the charming companion. Together, they appeared like a perfect couple—an ethereal, glowing girl and a refined gentleman.

However, to Gen Chisei, this sight was like a dagger to the heart. He gritted his teeth so hard they made a cracking sound.

"Wow, this guy actually did it!"

Yasha, one of the clan members, couldn't help but exclaim, his eyes wide in disbelief. "He really managed to woo the Uesugi clan leader?!"

Crow, meanwhile, leaned back theatrically, looking genuinely impressed. "That takes guts!"

Even Sakura, usually calm and composed, showed a rare expression of shock. The Uesugi clan leader, who always seemed gentle and distant—someone incredibly hard to get close to—was now holding hands with Adam, acting as obedient and sweet as a little sister from next door.

If the people of the Yamata no Orochi saw this, there was no doubt Adam would be chopped into tiny pieces by the next day.

Who cares about Cassell College? Or Hilbert? Or even European hybrids?

None of that mattered!

Uesugi Erii, the Uesugi clan leader, wasn't just anyone. She was the "Tsukuyomi" of the Yamata no Orochi, carrying the same divine responsibility as Gen Chisei's "Amaterasu" to suppress gods.

Not to mention her bloodline was incredibly pure yet dangerously unstable. She was born with the ability to use Draconic Language naturally, and her secret Word Soul was classified as a high-threat level.

If Cassell College or Europe's hybrid community found out about her, she would instantly become a "target for elimination." This was why she had essentially been kept under strict confinement.

But, above all these factors, the most critical issue was that Gen Chisei genuinely adored Uesugi Erii.

He was, without a doubt, a classic overprotective brother.

Sakura thought about this as she glanced at Gen Chisei, and her suspicions were immediately confirmed.

Calm down. You have to calm down.

Gen Chisei's forehead veins were bulging, his breathing was labored, and his eyes burned red with fury. His thoughts spiraled into violent impulses:

Bury him in concrete! Tie him to a post! Sink him in Tokyo Bay!

"This isn't just a matter of cutting off a few fingers anymore!"

A series of increasingly terrifying thoughts swirled in Gen Chisei's mind.

"Boss, hold it in! Don't act impulsively!"

Crow by his side seemed to read his thoughts and hurriedly urged him, "The guy's a representative sent by Cassell College. At the very least, we can't let anything happen to him on our turf!"

"You're right."

Gen Chisei took a deep breath, suppressing his agitation and regaining his composure.

"So easy to persuade?"

Yasha looked surprised.

But Gen Chisei continued, "Yasha, Crow, Sakura—once this mission is over, remind me to break that dog paw of his!"

Now that's the Yuan family's young master for you. Yasha suddenly understood and gave him a thumbs up. "Got it, Boss! Leave it to me and Crow. While we're at it, should we break three of his legs too?"

"Hey, stop making things worse!" Crow sighed heavily, rubbing his forehead. This guy acted like he wanted chaos more than anything.

Breaking an arm was one thing, but if they really broke all three of his 'legs,' how were they supposed to explain it to Cassell College?

"Well, it seems your brother isn't very welcoming toward me," Adam said as he walked up to them, holding Erii's hand. He glanced at Gen Chisei's murderous expression and chuckled softly, gently patting the young girl on the head. "It's time for you to go back, Erii."

"Take your filthy hand off her head. Now."

The veins on Gen Chisei's forehead bulged, his golden eyes flashing as he gritted his teeth. "Otherwise... I swear I'll cut that paw of yours off. Don't think Cassel can protect you!"

"Don't hurt Adam!"

Erii held up a small sign, her pink cheeks puffed up as she glared angrily at Gen Chisei.

In just half a day, Gen Chisei was already speechless. He looked at the adorable Erii and couldn't help but feel one thing in his heart: Blond guys are all a curse.

In just a few minutes, the emotional pain felt by Gen Chisei was no less than being stabbed several times.

"I have to go now, Erii," Adam said softly.

Adam smiled warmly, his golden eyes reflecting deeply in the girl's heart under the quiet night sky.

"Adam... will you come back to see me?"

Erii wrote on her handheld writing board, her words full of hope.

"I will," Adam replied with a gentle nod and a smile.

"I'll wait for you," Erii said, gazing at Adam with a look of longing in her eyes.

She couldn't wait for their next meeting.

For the past twenty years, she had been imprisoned in that small cage.

Everyone around her feared her power, and her inherited bloodline felt more like a curse than a blessing.

She had many toys, held a high status, and was the princess of Japan's underworld—a precious jewel in their eyes. Yet, all she could do was sit behind thick glass, separated from the noisy, vibrant world.

Her days were filled with cold doctors and nurses injecting serums into her, leaving scars on her pale skin that would heal and reopen, over and over again. Her life felt like a gray, lifeless movie playing on repeat.

Her only companions growing up were Hello Kitty, little yellow ducks, Rilakkuma, Godzilla, and video games or anime.

But she longed for the outside world. She longed to join the lively noise, to make friends, to live freely.

But she couldn't.

She was forbidden to leave.

The 'curse' running through her blood made her lose control. She was terrified that if she ever went out and lost herself, it would bring nothing but death and destruction.

A 'monster' like her deserved to be locked away.

Late at night, her loneliness felt like the deep ocean, thousands of meters below the surface—cold, dark, suffocating.

She was Uesugi Erii. A girl who yearned for freedom but feared the curse in her veins. For twenty years, she had borne her loneliness, isolated from a world that refused to accept her.
