"Hey, you there!…Keep walking!"
A patrolman shouted rudely at a young boy standing in front of the barricade, but didn't chase. He was too busy sitting and yawning.
The boy was thin and wore torn clothes. There was dirt all over his face and body. He sauntered off, lazily, but his eyes scanned the place and he discreetly listened in on all conversations happening around him.
Soon he entered another deserted alley, which was filled with trash bins and all types of other waste. The stench prevented even the homeless from resting here.
"Rodey…here!"
A soft shout came from behind one of the bins. A man, with a thin frame and both hands in bandages, called the boy over.
"Did you find anything?"
The boy stared at the man in silence. He didn't say anything nor did he look away.
"You!" The man yelled, feeling exasperated. "Look at my hands, here…take one geld from my pocket…only one!"
