The bead was round, smooth, and translucent with a luster that was very beautiful, quite similar to the legendary Luminous Pearl.
"Hmm."
Abis nodded faintly, "It is a Luminous Pearl."
"There really is such a thing as the Luminous Pearl? I thought it was just made up in novels."
Mai Xiaomai gazed at the bead's luster with fascination, "This is so awesome."
"It's yours!"
Abis said flatly.
"For me?"
Mai Xiaomai shook her head, "Such a precious thing, I can't accept it. But, I do need to borrow it for a bit."
"I have many more."
"Ah? Really?"
Abis nodded, "I'll show you later."
"First, let me take care of a pressing matter."
Mai Xiaomai held the Luminous Pearl up to light the way.
Abis followed behind her.
With someone accompanying her, Mai Xiaomai's heart felt much calmer.
When they reached the outhouse, she turned to Abis and said, "Don't go anywhere, wait for me to come out!"
