When the two of them got back home, Xiaocheng heard the noise from upstairs and scampered down.
While heading downstairs he yelled out, "Mom! Where did you guys go?"
Swiftly making it to the ground floor, his big black shiny eyes instantly glimmered upon seeing the various big and small bags they were carrying.
Lian Xinying put down the bag that contained the watermelon.
Upon seeing the watermelon, Xiaocheng howled excitedly.
"You can't eat it tonight, otherwise you'll wet the bed. Go to bed early and you can have some tomorrow," Lian Xinying said as she also took out some bananas.
Xiaocheng was uninterested in the bananas; there were already plenty at home!
Following that, Yan Ye brought out a carton of milk.
Xiaocheng continued to howl upon seeing the milk.
"You can only have one bottle, or if you drink too much..."
Before Lian Xinying could continue nagging, Xiaocheng interrupted, "Drink too much and I'll wet the bed! Mom, I know! You don't need to say it!"
