Harry, Steve, Thor and Tony walked down the hallways of the new Avenger's facility, the new primary base for the Avengers. It has started out as a series of Stark Industries warehouses created by Howard Stark. The warehouses were used to store Stark Industries equipment before Tony converted it. Many of the staff working here are former or current S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Maria Hill or Nick Fury would also pop in from time to time to see how things were going. In addition, the facility had the support of renowned scientists such as Erik Selvig and Helen Cho. The base was used for scientific research, military training, weapons development, and the New Avengers program. Vehicles and aircraft such as the Quinjet were also stationed at the facility.
"The rules have changed." Steve said.
"We're dealing with something new." Tony agreed.
"Well, the Vision is artificial intelligence." Steve said.
"A machine." Tony agreed once more.
"So it doesn't count?" Steve asked.
"No," Tony nodded. "it's not like a person lifting the hammer."
"That's exactly what I had said." Harry commented.
"Right, different rules for us." Steve nodded.
"Nice guy but artificial." Tony added.
"Thank you." Harry nodded. "See, you guys should listen to me more."
"If he can wield the hammer then he can keep the mind stone." Thor said before either Tony or Steve could respond.
"Were you listening to a single damn thing that we had just said?" Harry rolled his eyes.
"The stone is safe with the Vision and right now safe is in short supply." Thor said in a serious voice before a small silence came over the group.
"But if you put the hammer in an elevator…" Steve eventually broke the silence.
"It would still go up." Tony said.
"Elevator's not worthy." Steve smiled.
"Debatable." Harry said with a thoughtful expression. "If you think about it is strong and durable enough to carry multiple people and has no bad or negative thoughts."
"Yeah, but that means it's not alive like Vision." Steve pointed out.
"Well… Vision is not technically alive but he is more alive than an elevator." Tony replied.
"I'm going to miss these little talks of ours." An amused Thor said.
"Not if you don't leave." Tony replied.
"That is a good way to not miss something." Harry agreed.
"I have no choice." Thor said. "The mind stone is the fourth of the infinity stones to show up in the last few years, it's not a coincidence." Thor said as they walked outside. "Someone has been playing an intricate game and has made pawns of us, once all these pieces are in position…"
"Triple Yahtzee?" Tony asked.
"I have no idea what that means." Harry admitted before he turned back to Thor. "Do you think you can find out what's happening?" Harry asked as they all stopped walking.
"I do. Besides this one," Thor gestured to Tony before taking some steps away from the rest. "there's nothing that can't be explained." He said, he was about to raise his hammer but was stopped by Harry.
"Wait, Thor," Harry said as he quickly stepped up in front of him. "before you go can you find this for me?" Harry said as he handed Thor a note. "Sif told me that it grows on Asgard, and I really need a few of them, like five or ten, please. This is really important." Harry said, a serious expression on his face.
"What is it?" Tony asked.
"You may or may not find out." Harry said before he gave Thor a questioning look.
"Okay," Thor nodded as he took the note. "why do you need these for?" Thor asked in a confused voice.
"I need them to make a special potion." Harry admitted, though from the sound of his voice it was clear to Thor and the other two that that was the best that they were going to get out of him for the moment.
"Very well," Thor said. "I will have Heimdall send them to you through the bifrost."
"You're a good friend, Thor." Harry said in an appreciative voice while taking a few steps back.
"As are you." Thor replied before raising his hammer into the air, a second later he was taken away by the colourful lights of the bifrost, leaving a symbol on the grass like always.
"That man has no regard for lawn maintenance." Tony said as Harry waved his wand over the grass to return it to normal, the three began walking as Tony clicked on a remote. "I'm going to miss him though, and you two are going to miss me, there are going to be a lot of manful tears."
