Chapter 12 - chapter 12

Three days is nothing for a cultivator that can be considered a short nap for golden core cultivators,

They only reason she chose to wait three days and didn't advance immediately was that she wanted to balance out her qi with a method she developed

The discussions she had with Arc regarding world qi flowed through her head and she began mimicking what Arc's body did automatically

Her method was different from his she directly used her golden core as a port to absorb world qi this energy and convert it to spirit qi

At first the energy wasn't being absorbed efficiently but she slowly adjusted and began increasing the energy intake

During this time, the energy never left the core. it continued to flow and none could escape the core was increasing in size, before one again being tempered and becoming smaller denser

She continued this process allowing the energy to almost run amok it seemed as though she was bring herself to the brink of a breakthrough before condensing the energy further preventing the breakpoint

During this Arc was standing back behind luton and his hand were closed hard his knuckles were white and he could hardly breathe

The pressure Aurora was radiating was intense. Arc knew that she was stronger than him, but this pressure…

If luton wasn't protecting him, her presence would be enough to cause his body to collapse

Arc watched and refused to close his eyes, he wanted to remember the weakness he felt at this moment

He wanted something to look back to when he reached that level of power

Aurora continued for 4 days originally she thought that 3 days would be enough to condense her core to the breaking point

But it seems that with her new understanding of the soul and world qi, she was able to further condense the energy

At this moment Arc felt his hairs stand on end and the grand elders had a solemn face, the sound of thunder shook the mountain

Everyone within the sect excluding the grand elders and core disciples were completely unaware of what was happening

It was only when they looked up and realized huge thunder clouds appeared on the first peak did they understand what was happening

The entire sect felt both fear and excitement, another nascet soul cultivator could completely change the standing of their sect

They looked to the sky and saw Aurora she stood tall surrounded by metal cages and her eyes radiated energy, as the thunder struck her endlessly

It was powerful thunder formed by world qi tempered by spirit qi and has the ability to either destroy the body and soul or nurture it

If you can resist the dying from the damage thunder causes than when you heal you will become stronger

Nascent soul is a unique advancement for it means success or death, no backing down no second guessing

Around Aurora's body the cages that surrounded her began to glow blue it seemed as those it absorbed the lighting bolts in their entirety

Cracks starting appearing on some of the cages, and Aurora noticed that she wouldn't be able to prolong this

She brought out her armor and sword and flew upwards towards the clouds

As she swung her sword the clouds condensed a large thunderbolt, this was a sight that would be engraved in the memories of everyone who was there that day

She rushed towards the heaven ready to tear apart the lighting that sought to destroy her

The energy flashed out and everyone had their eyes forced shut, simultaneously the sounds vanished as if they never existed

When Arc opened his eyes he saw Aurora covered with injuries, her Armor was melting, her sword in pieces, yet she stood proud and had a smile across her face

She laughed loudly and it was heard in the entire sect, hearing this brought intense joy to everyone in the sect

They now have a second nascent soul cultivator

Aurora headed straight to her room, as she was still covered with injuries, she would need time to recover

Arc wanted to follow after her, but they never told anyone of their relationship and so Luton prevented him and told him to wait for her to recover

Luton was probably think Arc was worried for his master, and didn't think much, and assured him that she will be fine

Arc had no choice but to go and wait until she recovered before seeing her

Another two days passed before Aurora emerged from her room, she radiated energy belonging to nascent soul cultivation

She looked at luton and Arc before speaking

"I've managed to recover from my injuries, but adjusting to my realm will take a bit longer, and since it relates to control, i have no need to lock myself in close cultivation"

Luton face finally relaxed, he has been under pressure due to being the only nascent soul cultivator in the sect, thankfully that has now changed

As for Arc he could hardly hold himself back, and if it weren't for luton standing there he would've jump into Aurora arms

"That great master"

Mia said cheerfully

"I'm glad"

Iris said calmly but she couldn't hid the smile on her face

Arc turned his head in surprise and found that both mia and iris had joined him in waiting for Aurora

Luton then spoke before leaving

"Well I'll leave you with your students, i'm going to inform the others that we can finally reopen the sect doors"

Aurora had a large smile on her face as she walked over to her students

She patted Mia and iris's head and then patted Arc's,

Aurora looked into Arc's eyes and found nothing but love within them, it seemed it was more worried than he originally led her to believe

After that the 4 of them just sat around and began chatting, it was really just to calm Aurora down, to bring her back to a neutral or positive state of mind after advancing

While this was happening news of a new nascent soul cultivator in the black mountain sect spread like wildfire, everyone had heard of it

And when this news traveled back to the devil crow valley sect, they weren't happy

"They now have a second nascent soul cultivator, meaning that sect is now a threat"

Someone with red eyes and white hair spoke

"Not necessary, Luton the original nascent soul cultivator is an avid realm traveler he will probably teach his ways to the newer generation, we could make a deal with that sect"

A man with 3 heads spoke, each word coming out of another head

"The black mountain sect was once a part of the demon sect, so we are technically sister sects"

The multi headed man spoke again

"The demon sect ceased existing 10,000 years ago, they wouldn't join us just because of that"

A impossibly beautiful and seductive woman responded

They continued their debate determining the best course of action

Roughly one month remained until all the surrounding nascent soul sects and golden core sects would be meeting to celebrate at the devil crow valley, for their new nascent soul cultivator

At this time a storm of news appeared, the black mountain sect has gotten a secondary nascent soul cultivator

At face value the devil crow valley would have an advantage as they have 3, while black mountain only has 2

But luton is a master of spell-craft, simply put he will endlessly cast spells,

Fighting him is more difficult than the average nascent soul overall, he just has way to many methods of fighting

With the mastery of over 100,000 spells it's difficult to put him in a situation where he does not have a direct counter

This has left many sects worry, as this "party" they will attend has just gotten more complicated, before many sects just thought they would pay tribute and be done with it

Now that another sect has power similar to the other, they wouldn't know if they will be forced to pick sides

This may lead to war between dozens of sects depending on the reaction of the azure sea sect

The only other nascent soul sect in the area, if they join a side it will make or break, war or peace. All they can do is wait and see what will happen at the party

Back at the black mountain sect Aurora and her students were chatting and discussing their cultivation experiences

Aurora would correct mistakes when she found them, they continued chatting for a good few hour before Mia and iris had to leave

"What about you Arc,do you need to leave?"

Aurora asked curiously

Arc laughed lightly before hugging her and saying " i'm not leaving unless you physically take me off of you"

He hugged her tightly his head deep in her chest, he smiled and refused to let go

Aurora smiled as she patted his head, she then grabbed him and brought him into her room

Arc left the room the next day, and headed straight to his room to begin cultivating,

He sat down and began attempting to cultivate and found that he couldn't calm down

"This won't do"

Arc muttered to himself

To many things have happened in a short period of time leaving lots of emotions to build up, it would be difficult to cultivate with all the thoughts flowing through his head

Arc decided to pull out the his formation flag, and to add to the painting, this could help him expend these emotions,

To the left of the golden floating city Arc began adding a metal tower, it seemed to be made entirely of metal and glass, and it radiated green light

It completely contrasted the structures around that, that were magical and mythical

This new building was something you would see in the far future, made of unknown advanced technology

Arc then added on roads connecting all the different locations on in the painting, he drew carriages, spirit boats, cars traveling throughout the various unique parts of the city

Blending the different cultures and timezones making something distinctly unique

After that he took to the sky's and began drawing the sun, it differed from the sun on earth, for it was layered

It was formed of endless layers of light that overlapped and stretched, as if capturing the space around it preventing it from escaping

The sun would set and rise, and at its light would reflect upon the golden city at certain times, each time different than the last

Arc had completely forgotten about everything around him, all that existed was the painting

The painting at first seemed elegant and perfect like a world belonging to immortals

Now looked somewhat chaotic, the buildings didn't blend together as well as Arc wanted and he didn't understand why

He looked at all the different parts and found that they stacked against each other and had no similarities

He needed to blend area's to make fusions of each types of building to make it look like one city, not an amalgamation of cities

Sci Fi building with cultivation twist came into being, metal and glass formed, intricate ways that formed manors, ancient style homes of various cultures

then buildings of the inverse's started to appear, structures that would only appear in a fantasy world made strange materials,

Yet they looked like modern homes and structures, each building had one thing in common, all sorts of runes can be seen covering them

These runes glowed green and continued and connected to other buildings forming a "formation"

It was only a formation visibly, any formation master would be able to tell that it doesn't have a real effect something Arc doesn't mind as in the heat of battle he doubts someone would begin calculating the runes

Arc continued this pattern by adding this "formation" to every building, connecting them, this allowed them to seem as those the different parts all served one purpose

There were the different cultures in their unique areas the closer to the center the more blended they would become

The view from the prison was astounding, it seemed as though hole opened into the upper realm, glimpse into a world that belong only to the immortals who transcended

Arc felt his hand grow heavy the more he drew, his mind grew clear, but his body could not sustain this

When he added the final rune, his hand collapsed, dropping his pen on the floor

He found himself in a deep sweat, his eyes couldn't focus, yet he found peace in the state

The Baggage that was weighing him down has been released, all that remains is the exhaustion that came from removing it

After that Arc took deep breaths and began cultivating, the mana flowed around and throughout him

Arc didn't know if it was a misconception but he felt his Aura more tame and uniform, making this process go by without a hitch

Qi cultivation is the process of gathering gas qi in the dantain, and expanding it size to the maximum

After Arc's cultivation stage regressed when he changed techniques,

his dantain became smaller in size;yet it was much stronger than other dantains, it's durability was astounding

While arc would be stronger than same stage cultivators, his cultivation speed would be astronomically slower

Arc didn't really think too much of this, as considering he cultivates like a spirit beast, he's just glad he still cultivating at a relatively human speed

Or else he would die of old age before hitting foundation of establishment realm

After cultivating for a long while Arc exhaled a black gas, coughing loudly, when he finally stopped coughing he found his entire body was sticky

He was covered in dirt and gunk, it seemed he expelled many of the impurities within his body

Arc headed towards the bathroom before realizing a depressing fact…, this world doesn't yet have showers

Arc somewhat annoyed by this no longer wanted to bathe and casted fireball onto himself burning the impurities away, not even ashs remained

" no matter how much time passes I still miss the modern conveniences I had available on earth"

Arc muttered to himself lightly

Arc decided to head towards the library and read on formations, and runes

The runes written within the Art book, were a simplified runic language different from traditional runes,

they were designed to make paintings looks better, and while they could theoretically be used in formations that is not it's real purpose

Which is why Arc decided to descend to the third peak, and learn more runes; he wanted to start making things that would be convenient

For example, if he could combine the water creation formation, with fire formation to increase the heat of the water, he could forge a showerhead

He didn't expect to become a master of formations, but as a full-time forge master, having a understanding of rules would be extremely helpful

He didn't expect to become a master of formations, but as a full-time forge master, having a understanding of rules would be extremely helpful

"Brat what do you want"

The librarian said taking his attention off his paperwork

Arc laughed before speaking

" They still have you working?"

" It's your fault! You gold digging little bastard"

The librarian responded angrily as he thought to himself

' i was doing Aurora's work in sect management, but seeing how efficient I was doing it, they decided to make me actually work by splitting all their workload and giving a portion to me'

Arc laughed lightly before headed to 4th floor, he wandered around before finding books on formation runes

The runes were completely different from the ones Arc knew, looking through the book it felt as though he was changing programming languages

Arc wasn't a programmer in the past, but he felt that this was the best comparison,

it felt as though he the Art runes he knew was like programming in one of those games that teach kids how to program

And these formation runes, were like coding in assembly; but it could literally explode in front of you if you made a single mistake

Arc read and memorized as many books as he could but he couldn't help but get a massive headache,

" that's enough of formation for today"

Arc said quickly, he felt as though reading one more book would cause his head to pop

Arc headed out of the library. his head still pulsing from reading all those formation books, this was no exaggeration

Reading formation books, is something that affects the soul, the knowledge contained within them is powerful

As such studying formations at qi condensation is rare, it's becomes more common the higher the realm,as each realm has a quantitative change in the soul's power

Arc had assumed that his soul would be strong enough to do so in qi condensation, but it falls slightly short leaving him with a headache

Arc thought to himself as he walked

'Only one month left until the "party", this wasn't very much time, thankfully we took full advantage, we should face them better now'

His mind began to wander as he thought of the many ways, this could pan out, so many things could happen

The black mountain sect could work with them, since they have "history" but that's just an excuse they would say to get benefits from each other

If the Azure sea sect choses one side than it could lead to a war that would spread the entire continent

They could all work together, but unless they have something extremely valuable to gain that would be impossible

Cultivator's have human desires and thoughts, they wouldn't do things that won't benefit themselves, just for the sake of preventing war

In fact from the point of view of many nascent soul cultivators, war is a good method to "trim the fat", to get rid of the weak in their sects and to help temper the strong

Life or death battle is the best way to stimulate hidden potential, they could also use this as an excuse to start controlling all the market prices claim it was because of the war, and then after the war ends retain, the prices

People who shop at stores will have no choice but to buy, as they just got demonstrated what happens when you oppose their sect

These are all the same undercut and cutthroat business practices that you find on earth, the only difference is the scale of people that is effected

Arc pushed these thoughts aside, he was still to weak to make a difference, so there was no point in worrying how everything would play out

All he can do is hope that Aurora luton, and the sect master have everything figured out
