Wei Anning closed her eyes, her hands clenched into fists at her sides, her nails digging deeply into her flesh, the intense pain turned her heart cold as iron once more, no longer could she be easily placated by his few words.

Leng Youchen looked at her defiant expression, suddenly bent down and scooped her up in a fireman's carry.
Wei Anning was lifted into the air, startled, her hands tightly gripping the collar of his suit, the heat of his breath raining down from above her head. Realizing she was in his arms, feeling the arc created by his movements as he walked, she chilled her brows and eyes, "Put me down!"
