Xu Haoyang was muttering to himself about who was calling him early in the morning while reaching for his phone. When he saw the name displayed on the screen, his headache immediately disappeared and his spirits lifted.
He quickly pressed the answer button, fearing that if he was a step slower, Xiao Shiyao might hang up, and he would have nowhere to cry.
"Yaoyao," Xu Haoyang answered the call, lifting the phone to his ear, his face wearing a particularly foolish smile.
"Xu Haoyang, are you sober now?"
Upon hearing Xiao Shiyao mention his drinking, Xu Haoyang immediately straightened his back. His mind began to spin rapidly, trying to recall the events after he had been drinking yesterday.
But other than the headache from the hangover, he couldn't remember anything else.
"Awake, awake. Um, Yaoyao, I didn't do anything embarrassing in front of your parents yesterday, did I?" Xu Haoyang cautiously asked.
