An Ning hooked the large bath towel around herself, preparing to step out of the bathtub.
Yu Jingchen, with his hands bound, stood up and grabbed her. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Um... I just remembered we haven't eaten anything tonight, I should cook for you first!"
Yu Jingchen pinched her wrist. "I'm really hungry, I need to eat something right away."
"Exactly, I knew you'd be hungry, so am I," An Ning said.
"You're very hungry too?" he asked, feigning concern.
"Of course, I didn't really eat much at the restaurant," she said, feeling quite aggrieved.
He continued, feigning ignorance. "Why didn't you eat?"
"Of course, because I was thinking of you," she replied.
Realizing this, Yu Jingchen whispered in her ear, "Oh, I get it, you were thinking about 'that', weren't you?"
An Ning was left breathless, this man was simply a master of tainting the conversation, with just a few words he could stir up her emotions.
"I wasn't," she denied loudly.
