The sound of flowing fluid waved in the air as Jamie finished her final kill brutally and its body dropped to the ground.
She groaned, her body resuming its decaying look and her hands trembled. Jamie grabbed the wrist of her right hand, trying to stabilize the shaking as the finger veins bulged and throbbed.
She stroked her hair backwards, standing her ground and waiting for the symptoms to pass away. Taking deep breaths and relaxing her nerves just the way her father and the doctors in The Academy tells her to. She was ill.
Jamie groaned as the pain climaxed, it felt like her body was being sucked dry. Then, the pain reduced slowly, bringing back her hair colour and straightening her skin from its rumbled look.
She cursed to herself, looking around as many bodies lay on the ground. Her eyes drifted into seriousness as she hurriedly began to search for what she came for. What she had left Paige behind for, what she came down here for...and why she really told Levi to leave.
