"You men are so pathetic, you can't even hold out for a few days—let alone ten months!"
Su Liuying pouted, her face full of disdain.
"Hey, I was just joking with you, why are you taking it so seriously?"
Quan Tianyou set her down, placing both hands on her shoulders. His eyes fixed on her, he spoke solemnly, "Liuying, I don't know what other men think, but I would never do that! Holding your hand and growing old together—that's what I believe in!"
"I know!"
Su Liuying smiled and nestled into his embrace, murmuring softly, "I just suddenly felt a little melancholic, that's all."
Quan Tianyou gently patted her back, consoling her, "Silly girl, everyone's life is different. Just because others have such a mess doesn't mean we will too. Have faith in us!"
"Faith?"
Su Liuying repeated the word under her breath, unsure if she and Quan Tianyou could truly grow old together.
