Chapter 5 - I have to do something

As Marty boarded the train from the West End, he marveled at the luxurious surroundings, pristine facilities, and well-maintained infrastructure that characterized his home district. The gleaming skyscrapers, manicured gardens, and bustling commercial centers painted a picture of wealth and prosperity. As the train crossed over to the East End, Marty's surroundings began to change dramatically. The once-glamorous landscape gave way to a stark reality of urban decay, neglected buildings, and impoverished neighborhoods. The streets were lined with run-down structures, graffiti-covered walls, and signs of neglect. Marty couldn't help but notice the glaring economic disparity between the West End and the East End. The luxurious lifestyle of the West End residents stood in stark contrast to the struggles and hardships faced by the residents of the East End. The lack of resources, job opportunities, and basic amenities in the East End painted a grim picture of poverty and inequality. The social impact of the economic divide was evident as Marty observed day-to-day life in the East End. He saw families living in cramped and deteriorating housing, children playing in rundown playgrounds, and individuals searching for work in a struggling economy. The sense of despair and hopelessness in the East End weighed heavily on his heart. Marty's journey to the East End sparked a deep sense of reflection and awareness within him. He realized the privilege and fortune of his own upbringing in the West End and the stark realities faced by those in the East End. The contrast between the two districts served as a poignant reminder of the systemic issues of poverty, inequality, and social injustice. Inspired by his eye-opening experience, Marty felt a sense of responsibility to make a difference and contribute to positive change. He resolved to learn more about the challenges facing the East End, advocate for social justice and equality, and support initiatives that aimed to uplift and empower the residents of the disadvantaged community. In conclusion, Marty's journey from the affluent West End to the impoverished East End of the West End, Neo Atlantis, was a transformative experience that opened his eyes to the realities of economic disparity, social inequality, and the enduring spirit of resilience in the face of adversity. As he walked around for a bit, people could tell he was an outsider when kids ran up to him and shouted quin! With their hands out, he didn't tell them no like a typical east ender would. As he walked around some more. He asked where the bar was. A guy came out of the shadows and said, I can take you to a bar just in the red-light district, a cool place a lot less depressing than what you are seeing. . Marty put his hand out to shake the guys hand the looks at him for a minute and then shakes his hand and says his name is taz let's get going before they run out of drinks as they walk to the red-light district taz say I can tell your not from around here where you from and Marty says west end but first rounds on me taz does a whistle and says high roller huh what made you come this way Marty just replies I'm not sure just had too gotcha taz says as they walk in the bar Marty can see a meeting going on in the back taz says take a seat get us some drinks I just have to talk to a friend taz walks up to where Raymond his having a meeting with his leader taz whispers something in her ear and she says are you sure taz says I'm positive, and she says keep him talking I'm almost done here well Raymond the choice is yours, but I'm kinda not so interested now that I have a new opportunity that will solve all my problems Raymond glances over his shoulder he says who's he as he looks at Marty I tell you what I'm soon to be very wealthy this could possibly be my last job maybe spunk didn't know I'm the key holder I have to run and by that I mean your dismissed, but Raymond says spunk gave me something she glared at him and said like what as taz gets Marty to start talking and drinking Marty found himself surrounded by new acquaintances and immersed in a lively atmosphere. The availability of alcohol and the festive mood of the occasion led Marty to indulge in drinking more than he could handle, impairing his judgment and inhibitions.Under the influence of alcohol, Marty's inhibitions faded away, and he began to boast about his background and status as one of the richest sons in the West End. Fueled by liquid courage in his intoxicated state, Marty made grandiose claims about his family's riches, extravagant possessions, and exclusive privileges in the affluent West End. He projected an image of opulence and luxury, weaving a narrative of wealth and success. Marty's drunken behavior stemmed from a deep-seated desire to be admired, respected, and accepted by others. In his inebriated state, he sought validation and approval by presenting himself as a figure of wealth and privilege, hoping to garner admiration and attention from his audience. Marty's intoxicated boasting and false claims about his wealth led to reckless behavior and potential consequences. Raymond tells her he gave me a flash drive. Suddenly, her attention is back on Raymond. What's on it she says eyes widened. He replies with I'm not sure if this is good." We can hold him and see if we can get into their system." Two birds, one stone. Wait what ? Before she could even reply, the catchers bust in and started barking orders. Everyone is scattering around trying to head to the back entrance. Raymond jumps up and grab Marty and tells him to run. If he wants to remain safe. Marty doesn't question him and follows Raymond towards the back as taz tries to grab Marty, but a catcher shoves him to the ground and Marty and Raymond keep running
