The second room to the left was the study, and the third was Su Yue's bedroom. She still struggled to call them "grandpa" and "grandma", but it was hard to deny their shared lineage, given her blue eyes.
The hallway was brightly lit, illuminating every corner with the plush carpets muffling any noise. Su Nian pulled a face and noted wryly to herself just how much wealth was invested in this ancient castle.
In the entire hallway, the only sound that could be heard was her breath. Su Nian found this eeriness unnerving and wondered how they managed to live here.
Standing in front of Su Yue's bedroom, she knocked gently on the door. The door was opened from the inside by Vanke who looked startled upon seeing Su Nian, clearly not expecting her to reconcile with them so soon.
Upon seeing Vanke, Su Nian was taken aback. To be frank, his volatile temper made her feel completely drained, but she still managed a smile towards him. "I was wondering where you two will be having dinner?"
