Song Youman looked nervously at Han Zhijin after the nurse's words.
Han Zhijin, still holding the baby whose features hadn't fully developed yet, thought the nurse was simply being complimentary and smiled silently.
Seeing Han Zhijin's reaction, Song Youman knew he hadn't taken the nurse's words to heart, and she secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Yet, a sense of unspoken sadness surged in her, worried that the nurse would continue to speak carelessly. So, she made an excuse and sent the nurse out.
Soon, the hospital room was left with just the two adults and one child. The baby nestled comfortably in Han Zhijin's arms, continuously sticking out its tongue and moving its tiny hands and feet.
After watching Han Zhijin and the baby for a moment, Song Youman spoke, breaking the silence, "I heard from the nurse that it was you who brought me to the hospital that day, and... you also donated a lot of blood for me, even going into shock yourself. Thank you."
