"I have no doubts—I simply wish to converse with this lovely lady."
Arthur extended his hand towards Min Yue, not moving, "Would the lady not satisfy me this simple wish?"
His gaze directed at Min Yue was steadfast. Clearly, he wouldn't back down until he got his way.
Sensing a gasp from someone, Min Yue had no choice but to look to Gong Shaofan.
He, however, shifted his gaze elsewhere, emotion unreadable.
"I'm Min Yue, Secretary to CEO Gong." Min Yue, out of options, reached out her hand, "All the guests are waiting for you to commence the meal. Keeping people waiting isn't something a gentleman would do."
Arthur chuckled lightly, lowering himself to deliver a kiss on her hand, then he said, "Miss Min Yue is absolutely right, let's begin."
"Please do." Shaofan's voice, sounded more and more even-tempered.
Although his tone seemed ordinary to others, Min Yue's sharp intuition caught a strange layer of implications in his words.
