"One, Two..., Three...! Start!"
With the shout from Kotonoha, it's time to D-d-d-d-duel~!
"Shion, Phinia, I choose you!" I sent out my Wooxie and Pidgeotto for our Double Battle.
"Froakie, Nincada, Go!" And Homura also sent out her two Pokémons, too.
I reflexively take out my Pokédex and scan those Pokémons as they are getting ready in their battle stance.
[Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon, is a Water type Pokémon.]
[Froakie secretes flexible bubbles from its chest and back. The bubbles that looks so delicate is able to protect its skin as it reduce the damage that Froakie would otherwise take when this Pokémon is being attacked. Beneath Froakie's happy-go-lucky air, it keeps a watchful eye on its surroundings.]
[This Froakie have the ability Protean, and it knows the move Counter (Egg Move), Water Gun, Quick Attack, Growl, Pound, Lick, and Water Pulse.]
If I am not wrong, Froakie in Pokémon X/Y and ORAS evolved at level 16, and in Scarlet/Violet they learn Water Pulse at level 14.
So, in other words, this Froakie may already close to be evolved to become a Frogadier?

[Nincada, the Trainee Pokémon, is a Dual Type Bug and Ground Pokémon.]
[Nincada lives underground for many years in complete darkness. This Pokémon uses its sharp claws to carve the roots of trees and absorb its moisture and nutrients. This Pokémon can't withstand bright sunlight so avoids it. It stays motionless as it waits for evolution.]
[Nincada can sometimes live underground for more than 10 years. And when it grows underground for so long, its eyes become nearly blind. Nincada who becomes like that will learn to senses its surrounding by using its antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes.]
[This Nincada have the ability Run Away, and it knows the move Bug Bite (Egg Move), Sand Attack, Harden, Scratch, Mud-Slap, and False Swipe.]

Well, this is quite a matchup, Shion who is part Grass type would have an advantage against that Water type Froakie but she will be on a disadvantage if she is getting hit by the Bug Bite from the part Bug type Nincada, although with its Bug/Ground typing, the Grass type move from Shion would not be in a disadvantage anymore.
As for Phinia, well, my Flying type Pidgeotto would have a big advantage against the Bug/Ground type Nincada.
As I am thinking like that in a split second, I make a quick decision to do something different for this double battle.
Usually when we are having a Double Battle, my strategy would be to ganging up and take down one Pokémon first before we moved our focus to attacks the second Pokémon.
But now I decided to pit my Pokémons one versus one against the enemy.
"Shion, Bullet Seed on that frog. Phinia, Aerial Ace on the bug."
I commanded my Grass/Fairy type Pokémon to handle the Water type opponent, while my Normal/Flying one would take care of the Bug/Ground type enemy.
"Froakie, use Lick! And Nincada, Harden!"
As we both commanded, our Pokémons also make their move in battle.
Shion shot her Bullet Seed against the Froakie, which in turn is using Lick against my Wooxie.
And then the body of Froakie suddenly seems to be a bit more transparent, with its light blue skin turned to have grayish white coloration.
Oh my Mew, I forget that its Protean ability is making it capable to change its type based on the type of the move it is about to use!
The Bullet Seed only managed to hit the Froakie two out of five times, but the Lick from the Froakie also didn't get to paralyzes my Pokémon.
As for Phinia, well, the Pidgeotto took her sweet time bullying the Bug/Ground Pokémon with her Aerial Ace.
"Shion, Disarming Voice! Phinia, do as you see fit!"
I focused my command to my Wooxie while letting Phinia who have an easy time playing around with her opponent do anything as she wished.
"Froakie, get back and help Nincada with Quick Attack! Nincada, Harden again!"
Homura decided to change the formation of her Pokémon by letting the Froakie took the Nincada's place by quickly moving using the speed gained from Quick Attack while the Bug/Ground Pokémon hiding behind the bubble frog pokemonp is Hardening its defense even more.
"Pidgeotto!" Phinia make a screech as she is getting hit by the Froakie that moves quickly to intercept her attacks towards its partner Nincada.
My proud Pidgeotto retaliate by slapping the Froakie with her Steel Wing, the bubble frog Pokémon is thrown back heavily by Phinia's Steel type move.
And at the same time, the Disarming Voice from Shion have also coming in and hit the Froakie with a significant amount of mental damage that the bubble frog Pokémon instantly kneel down in pain like a husband who found out that he is being NTR'ed and he is forced to peep on his wife being drilled and gang banged by his archenemies!
Phinia and Shion then continue on ganging up on the Froakie as the poor frog Pokémon can only take on their beating as it cannot move properly since my two Pokémons keep alternating their assaults on it.
"Froakie, escape with Quick Attack! Nincada, help him with your Bug Bite on that Wooxie!"
When the Froakie is about to use its Quick Attack to get out of Shion's and Phinia's entanglement, my Pidgeotto intercepted its move with her own Quick Attack followed by my Wooxie who whipped it with her Vine Whip before she Bind the Froakie with her vines, effectively locking its movement as the Grass/Fairy Pokémon just shrugged off Nincada's Bug Bite on her like that super effective move felt nothing.
What comes after that is a one sided beating.
The Froakie which have been bound by Shion's Binding vines is getting peppered by my Wooxie's Bullet Seed, with all five of her shots are hitting right on the marks.
Meanwhile the Nincada is whisked away from pestering my Wooxie with a single Gust from my Pidgeotto.
Hehehehe, even though the Nincada have raised its Defense using Harden, the Special Attack Moves can still deals damage to it just fine.
Though Phinia only have Gust as her only Special-based move for now, but it is already more than enough to deal with the Nincada which can only dodge if it didn't want to be thrown all over the place by my Pidgeotto's strong winds.
"Okay, stop! I surrender!" Homura shouted and we ended the Double Battle just like that.
Seeing that her Pokémons will only get further injured with how the fight had been developing, Homura decided to just surrender and accept her loss.
Well, there is also the fact that she need to keep her Pokémons around since the nearest city or town is at least one day away by walks from here.
If all of her Pokémons are fainted now, how will she reached the town safely from the forest that we are currently on and is infested with many Bug, Grass and other type Pokémons?
Though with her quick movement speed as a shinobi girl, I think Homura can get to there quickly if she wanted to, even though that mean she would need to keep her guard up all the way and avoid (run away) from any encounters with the wild Pokémons.
By the way, since the Nincada have the ability Run Away, will she gain a boost in her Run Away attempts if she let the Nincada lead her party even though the Pokémon is unconscious (fainted) like in the game?
While I am lost in my stray thoughts, the busty beauty shinobi girl have returned both of her Pokémons back to their pokeballs to have a rest after having a rough fight with my Pokémons and transferred her betting money as per agreement to my Trainer Account.
Still, with my curiosity scratching and meowing on my mind like a curious cat, I finally asked the question that I have thought earlier.
"Ummmm, Homura, pardon me asking, since your Nincada have the ability Run Away, can it still help you to avoid or run away from the wild pokemons even when it is fainted?"
Both Homura and even Kotonoha gave me a deadpanned looks when they are hearing the question that I have asked to the kunoichi.
Homura's beautiful face looks like she is about to say, "What kind of Oddish leaf did you smoke on?"
While Kotonoha..... Well... Please don't look at me with that kind of look that people would usually give to a mentally disabled person, please.....
