Hannah stood by the large round window with a blue sill looking outside. The ground, left pristine with the blue scars of different sizes running through it, as if to preserve its purity. It left unravaged, not like back on Earth. The buildings, white with blue accents, were raised high, connected by white floating but stable bridges hovering over streams and rivers.
And far in the distance, was the sea.
Everything was dominated by water, but it was comfortable when the humidity was not a bother. And it could not be, not to those for whom the planet was a home, nor to those who had climbed up a few levels on the ladder of evolution.
*Knock* *Knock*
Footsteps came to break the quiet of the room, before a voice rang:
"Hannah, they are here."
Hannah turned without a word, and went to open the door. There, Schneider stood at the side, waiting. She showed no offense at the way he addressed her, not when she had been the one to have asked to keep it simple.
