Everyone glared at him, but he just looked at them with a raised eyebrow, silently daring to do something. Asyrid had to admit that he was impressive. Even her father didn't seem to take offense in his remarks and behavior, but this also rubbed her the wrong way.
Her father didn't mind because he was a man. Had she been the one to do that, she would have committed a grave crime.
"You have my vote, Your Highness," a man seated closer to the door raised his hand. Astrid directed his gaze to and recognized him easily. He was the knight commander.
At least he isn't prejudiced towards women, Astrid thought and smiled at the man who nodded at her. He had been at the border many times if not even co sidereal to live there. He had seen what the female shifters were capable of. They were strong and independent. Even the halfbreed who looked more human than shifter were strong, men and women alike. It was no wonder he wouldn't mind voting for a woman to enter the court.
