Xavier knelt in front of Sylve, his voice low but firm.
"I know you're scared. I am too. But if you stay like this, you're going to die, right now both of us can advance to the last stage, after that, it's game over"
Sylve's hands trembled in her lap, her tear-streaked face pointed at the ground. "To do that we're going to kill them, we can't win"
"Why do you think that is," Xavier said sharply, grabbing her shoulder. "Are you stronger than me?" Xavier asked.
Sylve's eyes met his, she couldn't believe what he was asking, she had seen Xavier fight, in terms of magic and raw talent she was stronger, but Xavier had done things that she couldn't expect, everything about him was surprising and he always had a trump card.
"When we first met, I thought you were stronger but after the battles, I knew I was, but I don't know anymore"
"That's right, I also have no idea if I'm stronger than you; we also have no idea if those two are stronger than us," Xavier spoke.
