The first one to attack was, after all, the one with a longer range—Melody's Sylveria! Her rifle fired three bullets at once, each heading toward the target as if they were being led by an invisible string.
Trisha, however, didn't panic. She lifted her shield, blocking the bullets while keeping a clear line of sight to Sylveria. With heavy, steady steps, Trisha's Azul forged head-on, all bullets getting deflected by her sturdy reverse heater shield.
"Tsk!"
Melody clicked her tongue, realizing that her bullets weren't working at all. It wasn't even a threat to the other party, nothing but a minor nuisance to her advance.
"Then, what about this?!" She growled, switching modes from burst to single-fire.
Although she sacrificed rapid-fire capabilities, she also gained one thing from it—control.
