The next morning in Seoul, Jerry was sound asleep until he felt something strange. he immediately woke up and looked up and down. He then got up, which woke up Lisa.
Lisa; what is it?
Jerry; I just sensed something.
Jerry; Kongou, get up.
Kongou waking up; yes, yes, Jerry.
Jerry; I just felt Choki's presence, it's not that far from here.
Lisa; wait, seriously?
Kongou; right!
Hei; what's going here?
Jerry; We need to go out for a bit, we'll be back in a few more hours.
Hei; alright then.
10 minutes later…
Jerry to Lisa and Kongou; there it is.
Lisa; the noodle restaurant?
Jerry; yes, that's where I sensed Choki. I can still feel his presence.
Kongou; the place might be full of speedsters.
Lisa; or at least their supporters.
Jerry; wait, there people who support the terrorists?
Lisa; yes, some people join them as a way to get back at those who caused all this. You see, the terrorists have been attacking nations Korea deems hostile and thus gained approval in the eyes of some.
Jerry; I see. Kongou, come with me. Lisa, I need you to stay here a little bit, if we aren't back in exactly 30 minutes, assume we're either dead or captured.
Lisa; shut up, I know you won't die so easily.
Jerry; that's what I ounce thought myself. Common Kongou, let's move.
Kongou; right.
So then Jerry and Kongou entered the noodle house, it appeared empty, then they went to the back. They then found a man lying on the floor with a knife in his hand. They tried to wake him up, but he reflexively swung the blade at them, then Kongou collected it form him.
Kongou (in Korean); calm down, we aren't here to cause trouble, we're looking for someone.
Noodle guy; who do you want?
Jerry; ask him if he know anything about the terrorists.
Kongou; are you connected to the speedsters in any way?
Noodle guy; What! Why would I want anything to do with those animals! They attacked my store, killed my son and forced me to…
The man then cut off at this point, and then looked down with a sad look on his face.
Kongou; what's wrong? You rather not talk about it?
Noodle guy; it was just a week ago, I was serving noodles with my son as usual, but then we ran out of salt so I went to the back to get some more, however when I came back, everyone was already dead. And on a chair sat a young man sipping tea. It was him who did it. He said that was just a message, to me and that if I didn't comply, my whole family would be next.
Kongou; so what did they make you do?
Noodle guy; to build.
?; look at that, it seems our guard dog has betrayed us, seems I'll have to put him down myself.
The mystery man pulled out a gun on the noodle guy then…
Kongou; GET DOWN!
*BANG*
Noodle guy; huh?
Jerry, holding the hand of the shooter; I'd be careful if I where you.
The then tacked the man down and pinned him to the floor.
Noodle guy; how did he do that?
Kongou; my master is very strong.
A few minutes later…
Kongou; he's all tied up.
Jerry; he's probably one of those supporters, he was way too easy to take down.
Kongou; I see.
Jerry; he came from that door over there.
[Jerry was referring to a door in the back.]
Kongou to the Noodle guy; what's in there.
Noodle guy; I don't know myself, they said if I would ever go back there they would kill me.
Kongou; strange.
Jerry then opened the door.
Kongou; it looks like just an ordinary storage room.
Jerry; that's what it's supposed to look like. Look down, remove that wooden plank.
Then Kongou did so.
Kongou; it's a hole.
Jerry; I sense Choki down there. Let's go.
Kongou; yes sir.
After they went down…
Noodle guy; *those two, I feel sorry for what they're about to face, and they were so nice too*
Jerry and Kongou after landing began walking through a dark tunnel.
Jerry; this must be an old subway tunnel.
Kongou; the path behind us looks blocked.
Jerry; a smart move, lets move.
5 minutes later…
Jerry; have you heard of Sheldon Cooper?
Kongou; the famous theoretical physicist?
Jerry; yeah, he was what you would call a genius, at age 12, he got into college and was at the top of his class in pretty much everything.
Kongou; he also once ran an experiment in the arctic for 3 months.
Jerry; yeah. You know, back in my old school, I was considered a genius, I would come first almost every time and some of the times I didn't come first, I was only holding back for Jake.
Kongou; ah yes, Jacob Tomodachi, heir to the famous Tomodachi cooperation.
Jerry; yeah, he was my rival. We would compete in just about everything, sports, academics, hell, we even competed to see who could eat faster. We both almost choked to death.
Kongou; sounds like a very reckless game.
Jerry; yeah, but I still beat him anyway.
Kongou; as expected from young master Jerry.
Jerry; yeah, but the thing is, everything I did, it was never easy for me. I had to deliberately push myself, I'd pull all-nighters just to read for a test. I'd lock away all manga and video games a month before the exam. Everything I excelled at was because I pushed myself to.
Kongou; may I ask why?
Jerry; it's because, I wanted to please my father. You see, my parents adopted both me and my brother because my mom castrated herself on purpose. Dad picked Tom, and Mom picked me, they couldn't decide on who to keep so they adopted us both, so unlike my brother, I had to earn my fathers acceptance. The truth is, ever since I was little, I've respected him, till this day there isn't a single man I respect more than him. That's why, I wondered, what if I could make this guy, who has done so much, achieved so much, be impressed with me? That became my goal, the thing that pushed me forward. However, it felt like everything I tried was never enough, I'd show him my results and he'd just respond by asking the same question. What do you want? And I'd always ask for the same thing, another summer break in Roppongi. After all, it was the only place I ever felt happy. Everything was just like this, at least we found that rock in the woods and my dad got run over, and my mom turning out to a cold-hearted bitch. And worst of all, everything that has happened had been planned beforehand by my father. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing, should I find him and make him explain himself? but what then? What if he was involved in all this? What if he had no good reason? Or worse, what if he didn't?
I'm scared, I always tried to hide it but it's true, I don't want to believe my father is a monster.
Kongou; Jerry, listen, I sympathize with your situation, the truth is I've known someone who I ounce found hard to trust, but then day she stretched out a hand to help me, and because of that she's dead now. Listen, I know my case may not be as emotionally heavy as yours, but I think you should trust your father, he might have a good reason, you won't know unless you give him a chance.
Jerry; thanks. Up ahead.
Kongou; is that where Choki is?
Jerry; yeah. Let's go.
EOC
Jerry; BAZINGA BayBay.
