Dark Pov
After we left the common area Johnson took me down the corridor leading to the drop pod bay once we entered the bay he motion for me to get in I did and found my guns had already been placed inside "good luck out there" Johnson words said one thing but his eyes show another he is aware it's a suicide mission and there's no way I am coming back " I'll be fine" my reply short as I just want to get this done woth that Johnson hits a swiych the the drop pod hatch closes and a count down starts when it hits zero and i hear a click than a sound of wind friction I already know from this i have been dropped.
Johnson Pov
After putting Spartan Dark in his drop pod I can not help think what the hell command is thinking his mission is impossible alone they provided him with no intel on what he was facing and just dropping him in a place that could have both covenant and sentinels maybe even flood if he is unlucky as I was in thought I hear heavy foot steps behind me " he will survive" I recognise the voice as Master Chief I look at him "how can you be so sure" I had to ask it's not sitting well with me that command did this " it's what he does he won't die not as long as he has his team even without his emotions he considers them family and this alone is what makes him who he is not even death will keep him from them" i look at him asking how death can not stop him " because he has already died once before but he did not stay dead" what how is that possible once dead that suppose to be it "how is that possible" I need to know if this guy completes this mission and the UNSC do whatever they are planning he may actual turn against the UNSC " acording to Halsey on his death his brain activity spiked to a ridiculous level and forced his heart to restart not sure of the rest it was classified as the highest level" this does not help with finding out how this is possible and seems like a fluke " it sounds like a fluke how can you be so sure he will come back" Master Chief looked at me " I never said he will come back just that he will not die" that response made me realise once he knows that command what's him gone he will no longer be apart of the UNSC before I could think of what's a headache this is going to be " but he will come for his team" with that comment Master Chief goes to his drop pod and close the hatch with that I go to my own drop pod and wait for further order only sighing before I take out my cigarette and light it.
Dark Pov
After falling for god knows how long my drop pod finally hits the ground with a loud bang without waiting much time I pull the lever Infront of the hatch as I do the hatch is launched off the drop pod exposing me to the outside world as I look around all I can see is icy tundra not wanting to say in the pod I get out and grab my trusty smgs and modified pistols after I had everything I asked Destiny where the mission object is[ we do not have an exact location only an estimation but based on that we should be close based on the data of the first Halo ring just head north] with that I check my guns and set of to complete the mission but I know it will not be easy task just want to get this mission over with and get back to my team.
A/N i know this one is shorter than usual but I only wanted to cover the drop and conversation between Johnson and Master Chief about Dark as well as landing in the tundra hope you enjoy this chapter though.
