Slow speed first, then average; go at high speed and eventually reach a higher speed.
"How fast is it going?"
"1234 kilometers per hour. It is about to enter Mach 1."
Venom sees on the screen the ratio of the blood compound and the substance.
"I will double the speed; enter Mach 2."
The machine spins faster, but it doesn't seem to have an effect on the blood.
"I will increase the speed again; enter Mach 8."
The bottle doesn't appear anymore because of the speed.
Lisa was speechless at the sight of a machine moving so fast.
"It hasn't reached separation yet. I'll have to double it more: enter Mach 16."
The machine has already entered the critical stage. But Venom still doesn't give up.
"Final stage: entering Mach 32."
"Professor. This is very dangerous. You must stop it now."
"No, it can still go for more!"
Venom presses a red button, and the device begins emitting an orange glow.
"Professor! It's going to explode!"
Lisa ran to hide behind a desk when the machine finally exploded.
Venom jumped behind the same desk while a thick curtain of smoke filled the entire laboratory.
The little scientist and her mentor waved while brushing the smoke away from their faces, fanning it with their hands.
Venom pressed the button on his watch, and the ceiling fan turned on and opened. These began to rotate, expelling the smoke outward.
Once the smoke dissipated, they both walked towards the remains.
The machine was completely destroyed, and other nearby machines were damaged. But surprisingly, the container was almost intact. The speed at which it rotated and the heat generated caused the container to deform.
If it weren't for its plastic frame, it would have been destroyed. Instead, it is stretched into a spiral shape. But the most striking thing was not the shape of the container. But inside, there was a phosphorescent blue liquid.
Venom took the vial, which was warm to the touch and very flexible; well, it wasn't cooled down yet.
When it solidified again, the scientist placed the container in a machine to analyze the liquid.
Three minutes later, the machine returned the result.
"Unbelievable."
"What's going on? Professor?"
"The fusion of your brother's blood with this substance is very deep, and instead of being quickly separated, the same substance absorbed your brother's blood. It returned it to its pure state."
"I'm going to have to run some tests on it. You keep an eye on your brother. I have a feeling we're on to something big, Dr. Loud."
"Yes, sir."
-The next day-
Lisa was at a desk making final adjustments to a spy drone. Meanwhile, Professor Venomus analyzed the newly acquired compound from Lincoln's blood.
Lisa finished her project and put it in a suitcase.
Suddenly, Venom looked away from the computer screen to admire what he had found. "that's amazing."
Lisa walks towards the professor when she hears him exclaim, "What's going on, Professor? What did you find out?"
"Me, nothing. You, yes."
"Me?"
"Doctor, let me be the first to congratulate you. You were right in the name you gave this substance."
"Are you talking about empowerment?"
"That's how it is. This, my dear, is not just a substance that enhances abilities. Unlike drugs for physical performance like steroids or ones for mental performance like Modafinil, which eventually lose their effect, this is something much more permanent."
"It does not aid in the performance of physical and mental abilities. Rather, it enhances genes that have developmental potential. In other words,"
"Strength genes," Lisa said, completing the sentence.
"This is amazing. And that's not the only thing. Look what I discovered." Venom opens his computer. An image of some mummies holding hands appears on the screen.
"These are the oldest Homo sapiens fossils in the world. We found them in Ethiopia."
"We conducted spectroscopic tests. Despite the fact that their cranial structure is completely identical to that of a modern human, it is far superior to the human fossil discovered in 1974."
"Amazing," Lisa was completely fascinated by this information: "However, they look like simple mummies. Their organs are intact, and they all don't seem to have been affected by the natural curvature that would occur in fossilization."
"However, we did some research on it. We found the remains of an item that coincides with empowerment."
"This means—"
"Dr. Loud, I present to you one of the oldest human giants."
"This is amazing. It means that whatever this substance is, it is responsible for driving human evolution."
"Yes. And no." Venom gestures towards the mummies' genitals. "The causes of their deaths are unknown. But I have discovered one thing. They are both sterile."
"Which is strange. Because their muscular structure suggests that they were relatively young."
"This answers a lot of questions."
"What are you talking about?"
"My brother is also sterile."
"I won't ask how you know that. But we know now that one of the side effects of this medication is infertility."
"Do you think we can fix this? Professor?"
"It is possible. If I can make some changes to the potency, I can cure your brother's infertility and even blindness."
The latter filled Lisa with hope. "I hope so."
"Since that incident three years ago, my goal in life has been to restore my brother's sight. He put himself in danger to save me from something I caused. It's the least I can do for him."
"Good."
"I'll need more blood to start the real investigation."
"Here, I brought another bag."
"Did you bring two bags?"
"My brother can regenerate red blood cells and fluids three times faster than a normal human. It must be one of the empowering effects."
"Good. I appreciate that, Dr. Loud. Oh. By the way, is the spy drone ready?"
