Moon clenched his fists, the air around him shimmering as time shifted again. There wasn't much time. He had to act now.
Moon crouched down, his entire body tensing like a coiled spring, energy rippling through his muscles. With a single leap, he launched himself into the sky, his eyes fixed on the approaching fleets.
"I can't let them make landfall." Wind roared in his ears as he ascended, his eyes glowing as the world around him slowed to a crawl. He could see every detail of the ships below—every ripple in the ocean, every soldier preparing for the assault.
"Time Mantra: Chrono Dive!" Moon shouted, his body warping through space, and in an instant, he appeared above the first fleet. The two Admirals, Ryker Valtor and Fuyuno Vlast, stood on the deck of their flagship, both turning their eyes to the sky just as Moon's shadow fell over them.
"Admirals," Moon said, his voice cold and calculated,
"You won't be stepping foot on this island." Valtor's eyes narrowed, and a smirk crossed his lips.
"So, it's true. You've defected." Moon didn't respond. He wasn't here for words. He raised his hand, the air warping around it, and in the next moment, time fractured as Moon's attack descended upon the fleet.
Explosions erupted across the ships, shockwaves ripping through the decks as Moon unleashed his power. The sea churned as ships splintered and shattered beneath the onslaught. The soldiers barely had time to react before time-manipulated shockwaves tore through their ranks.
But the Admirals were ready. Ryker Valtor raised his arm, a massive wall of electricity surging forward and blocking Moon's assault, while Fuyuno launched herself toward Moon with a clenched fist. Moon's eyes narrowed.
"Predictable" Moon surged forward, dodging Fuyuno, moving faster than the human eye could track. Time around him bent and twisted as he closed the distance in the blink of an eye, his fist already crashing toward Ryker's chest. But Ryker was ready. He caught Moon's fist and smirked. A bolt of lightning surged up from his body, intercepting Moon's punch with a deafening crack.
The two energies collided, sending a shockwave across the deck, splintering the wood and throwing soldiers off their feet. A massive explosion of aura shattering the nearby battleships. Ryker smirked, his blue eyes sparking with energy. Static shooting between the hairs of his thick scruffy beard.
"Not bad, but you're gonna have to do better than that!" Ryker swung his fist, Moon ducking under it, then jumping over the following kick. Quickly rising to his feet to punch, but Ryker's face was already over Moon's face. A shockwave of thunder erupted through Moon's body, sending him stumbling back.
"Not yet…!" Moon jumps forward, ducking under the punch, sliding to the right, and delivering a sharp palm strike to Ryker's ribs.
Ryker grunted in pain, but he wasn't done. With a roar, he thrust his hand toward the sky, summoning a storm of lightning that crashed down all around them. Moon leaped back, twisting in mid-air as lightning bolts struck the deck where he had just been standing.
"You won't win this, Moon, give up!" A strong aura of thunder exploded from Rykers shoulders. A white aura radiating from Moon's. His hair becomes long and white, his eyes glow red.
"Time Mantra: Full awakening form!" Ryker smirked. In a flash no one could fathom, the two disappeared, instantly appearing in shockwaves across the sky, both combatants moving faster than the soldiers watching could comprehend. Each blow they traded sent ripples through the air, the boats beneath them groaning under the strain.
Moon's fists blurred, striking Ryker's body with precise blows, each punch warping time itself, freezing Ryker for split seconds at a time. But Ryker countered with sheer power, his lightning-enhanced punches striking like thunder, forcing Moon back with each blow.
"Time Break!" Moon shouted, thrusting his palm forward. A wave of temporal energy exploded outward, sending Ryker flying back. For a moment, it seemed like Moon had the upper hand. But Ryker's grin never faded.
"You think time's gonna stop me?" Ryker said, rising from the ground, electricity coursing through his veins. His eyes glowing with pure electricity. His body shimmered with blue energy as he charged forward, his fists glowing with raw power.
Before Moon could blink, Ryker was in his face, his fist crackling with lightning as it slammed into Moon's chest. Time warped around them, but it couldn't stop the sheer force of Ryker's punch. Moon's eyes widened as he felt the full brunt of the attack, his body flying backward, crashing through the air like a ragdoll.
He hit the ground hard, skidding across the deck, his vision blurring. Ryker didn't let up. He was already in the air, descending like a thunderbolt, his entire body wrapped in lightning. He raised both hands above his head, the lightning forming a massive sphere of energy.
In an instant, time froze, then as suddenly as the attack landed, a massive EMP shockwave exploded, destroying the nearby battleships into shattered wood. Sending waves of high water crashing and flooding the harbor. Sparks engulfed nearby wood in fire as rain started sprinkling from the overhead clouds.
