(FAVYY'S POV)
I trudged into the house, exhausted from today's lectures, gosh home sweet home. Since Mom was still at work, and I was alone. I headed upstairs, dropped my uniform, and stepped into the bathroom. The cold shower revived me, after I was done showering, I changed into comfy shorts and a crop top. I Headed Downstairs, I found Mom already home,I welcomed her and she asked about my day. "Not bad, just weirdos and bitches," I replied, earning a warning glance from my mum.. "Watch your language, kiddo." I rolled my eyes and asked about dinner. Mom teased me about being lazy and told me to have cereal while she freshened up.
( " Alex's Condominium ")
Meanwhile, at The Knights Condo, Alex and his friends were hanging out by the pool. Bryan was flirting with a girl, while Brandom swam laps. And on the other side Alex and Mira were seen relaxing . In the midst of their relaxation, Bryan brought up the topic of the new girl at school.
"Guys, she's hot and endowed. I can't wait to have her," he said, licking his lips.
Alex surprisingly spoke up, "Do you think everyone is like you?" Bryan was taken aback. Mira, who had been quietly observing, frowned, her eyes flashing with anger.
Bryan: "What's wrong, Alex? You're not interested in the new girl?"
Alex: "I don't know, man. She seems different. Not like the others."
Mira: (sarcastically) "Oh, great. Now Alex is an expert on girls."
Alex: (ignoring Mira's sarcasm) "I mean, she didn't even seem interested in talking to me. It was like she had better things to do."
Bryan: "That's what makes her so attractive, bro. She's not easy to get."
Mira: (rolling her eyes) "Please, Bryan. You're not going to 'conquer' her or anything."
Alex: (smiling) "I don't know, guys. I think I need to get to know her better."
Bryan: "Good luck with that, Alex. You're going to need it."
Alex: Thanks man. (The conversation between them ended, and they continued with what they were doing.)
(The Next Day At School 🏫")
The next day at school, the English teacher started her lectures, gaining the students attention, but, suddenly Mira noticed Alex's attention wandering. She followed his gaze and spotted the object of his interest - the new girl, Favyy. Mira's eyes narrowed as she muttered under her breath, "I don't know what's so special about this girl. She's just a rag."
Meanwhile, Favyy remained focused on the teacher, her eyes never straying from the lesson. She didn't even glance at her seatmate, her concentration unwavering without distractions.
In the mist of the lectures, the lunch bell rang, Mrs. Grace dismissed the class, and the students began to file out of the room. But before Favyy could even gather her things, Mira and her friends, Jessica and Ariel, stormed over to her seat. Mira sneered, "Hey, newbie, I know you're new, so I'll be easy on you. You're trespassing on my territory, so back off or else. You won't like my wrath, I hope I'm clear?"
Favyy remained unfazed, her expression unreadable. Mira's anger grew as Favyy didn't even flinch. "Well, as you can see, I don't know what you're saying," Favyy replied calmly, "and I won't engage with barking dogs." The class erupted in laughter.
Mira's face reddened with rage. "Did you just talk back to me?" she snarled. Favyy stood her ground, "Of course, who else if not you?"
Favyy smirked, "You're stepping on my toes, so back off or else. I won't hesitate to show you my other side." Mira scowled, "You won't like my side view. I hope I'm clear?" Favyy remained unfazed, and Mira's anger grew. "You think you're brave, but I'll show you who's boss. We shall see, newbie," Mira sneered, storming off.
Kylie praised Favyy. "Girl, you were so bold!" Favyy replied, "People like her deserve no less. I haven't even started; she has no idea what I'm capable of." "Craze dey worry her " Kylie looked confused, "What did you just say?" Favyy chuckled, "It's a Nigerian slang, don't worry, I'll teach you." After the students lunch, they headed back to class to settle down for the next lecture.
The next teacher announced a group presentation, and Favyy found herself paired with Alex, Mira, Jake, Winny, and Brandon. After he paired them, he dismissed the class and told them to have a meeting between their group's for a better work. Mira and her group met at the other side of the class, then she sneered, "I hope you're all brilliant. Newbie, this question goes to you, you claim to be smart, are you capable of being in our group? Favyy smirked and said, intelligence is not by mouth, but by actions, so, find out yourself and see about that." Favyy left the group, leaving Alex and the rest impressed by her boldness.
Later that evening, Favyy saw a message on the class group chat about a group meeting at Alex's condo. "Hey guys, let's meet at my place to discuss our presentation. - Alex." Favyy wondered how to get to Alex's condo and asked for directions. After informing her mom, she headed to Alex's condo, feeling a mix of uncertainty and nervousness.
As she arrived at the condo, she saw Alex, Mira, Jake, Winny, and Brandon already seated in the living room. Alex welcomed her with a smile, "Hey Favyy, glad you made it." Favyy smiled back, "Thanks for having us over." Mira rolled her eyes, "Let's get down to business, shall we?" The group began discussing their presentation, with Favyy contributing her ideas and impressing Alex with her creativity. Everyone of them contributed to the work giving them a perfect group combo.
The meeting came to an end and they finished their work, Favyy packed up her things and prepared to leave. Alex walked her out of the condo, and they stood outside in the quiet night air. "Thanks for your help tonight, Favyy," Alex said, his voice sincere. "The work is something everyone will benefit from, so no problem." Favyy replied, her tone crisp. "Let's just focus on getting that A, shall we?" Alex smiled, seeming to appreciate her straightforwardness. "Absolutely. I'll see you in class, Favyy." "Yeah, see you," she replied, turning to leave with her driver who came to pick her up.
