Chapter 17 - House Of Elysium

Aurians can heal, but their healing doesn't work like humans. Cuts or bruises don't just heal, but the blood that is drained is also restored, leaving only scars. They can remove those scars but are not allowed to remove them. Scars are medals of Honor for them. But not all wounds heal instantly everyone has a different speed of healing. The more Nur energy they have, the faster they heal. But the deeper the wound, the more time it takes. If a Prodigy user were to lose a limb or get a deeper cut, they wouldn't be able to heal themselves.

That's what the House of Elysium is for they are healers and can heal just about any physical wound, but not all…

Ihaan entered the House of Elysium with Amir in his left hand, Shayan in his right hand, and Zayan on his shoulder. Amir and Zayan both were unconscious, but Shayan was paralyzed from the wounds he had received from those attackers. He can't sleep or lose consciousness but his body can't work if his tendons are cut or if he has mortal wounds. "It hurts. It hurts." He was crying almost silently, he didn't have enough power in him to even speak loudly.

The House of Elysium contained multiple rooms and a main office. It was 20 stories high and had more than 200 emergency rooms and hundreds of beds for patients.

The Quwahar had been at war for decades now. House of Elysium had already their hands full with dead bodies and nearly dead people. No matter how good healers they were, there were wounds they just couldn't heal.

Ihaan entered an emergency room, there were a total of 10 beds in the room, and 8 of them were occupied. But none of the people lying on those beds were moving even a bit. And the room was stinking with the smell of death.

"Only two beds are free, even in the morgue," a girl's voice echoed in the room. "You see, we already are at our wit's end and now you are bringing half-dead kids here…" A girl entered the room, wearing a long dark green robe like a coat her robe was just like Ihaan's, the only difference was color, and Master was printed on the back side of her robe. She had dark brown pony-tailed hair. Her eye color was light brown, and it seemed deep enough to sink oceans.

She wasn't wearing any fancy makeup, lipstick, or flashy accessories. She was the same girl who came to check on Shayan when he was first time brought to Prodigy Realm.

Ihaan threw Shayan on the bed next to him and then took Amir by the collar and threw him onto the other bed. "Anika," He smiled and looked back at her while putting Zayan down on the ground in his feet.

"Don't say another word," Anika interrupted, "I will heal Amir and I won't be healing that human bastard and the boy you brought from the human realm. Throw them out from HQ this instant. Only Prodigy Academy has accepted them, none of the Houses has accepted them. Get out of here, before the Elysium Guards arrive."

Anika slid past Ihaan and advanced towards Amir's bed. Ihaan just stood there and watched Anika as she placed her hands on Amir's wounds and used her Water Healing Prodigy to heal him. A big bubble of water covered Amir's body. Anika pulled her hands out from the bubble. The bubble stayed intact. "His wounds are deep. It's gonna take time to heal him." She said while turning back. The second she turned back, she found a strange smirk on Ihaan's face.

"I am not gonna heal them, no matter what you do…" Ihaan advanced towards Shayan's bed. "Well, this boy is not unconscious…" Shayan was still crying in agony, but now he didn't have enough power to even cry out. "He can't sleep. He is always in pain and it is getting worse as time passes. I know, all Houses think of him as an outcast, but this boy never wanted to come here, either. It's our fault that his parents died, and he had to see them…" Ihaan voiced his thought, his smile still intact.

Anika sighed and threw her head down in disgrace. "I know, but…" she lifted her head and walked towards Ihaan. "Okay, I'll heal him, but I can't heal that boy," she pointed at Zayan, who was lying on the ground unconscious. "He has been banished not just from his House but from Quwahar Kingdom as well. Anyone who helps him will be arrested, you know that, but still, you helped him and brought him here."

Ihaan walked past her as she placed her hands on Shayan and created a bubble of blue shining water around him. The bubble seemed to be healing his wounds slowly. Ihaan picked up Zayan, "He fought more than those two, even though he was weak. I am taking some pills from the medical ward, try to cover for me. Consider it payment for the time I saved your life… oh not time but times." Ihaan walked out, without getting any answer back from her.

Anika fell back on a chair and threw her head down on the table next to her. "Blood, broken bones, and shattered limbs can be healed, but how can you heal those people with twisted minds? Nobles or commoners, no one accepts that kid. So, why do you care so much about that bastard? Why, Ihaan? Why are you helping him, everyone hates you already?" Tears subsided from her eyes down in her lap.

"Why are you crying?" A voice busted through the silence of the room.

Anika looked up instantly and smiled while cleaning her tears with her robe. "Oh, you are fine now, you still look pale, Shayan." Shayan was still lying down in the bubble, eyeing the ceiling. "Why does everyone hate him so much? He never did anything wrong. Just because he was born as a bastard? I know bastards are hated in my world as well, but he is still a kid and he tries his hardest to follow his dream--"

Anika looked him in the eyes with a serious look. "His mother slept with another man and not just any other noble or commoner, but a human from your realm. He is a byproduct of a whore and a human. And flowers don't blossom in filth. That's why he is hated and despised by everyone."

Shayan smiled lightly, curled his body, and turned his face away from Anika. "You decided that on your own, without even giving him a chance to prove himself. I will never understand you people. You talk about peace and the safety of your people but gang up on a little kid. Maybe you need to think what is wrong or right, not just blindly follow orders."

Anika shrugged and looked away.
