Chapter 68 - The Mad King’s Virtuous Kill Order

[AGUST]

"He was hurt very badly. He might… he might not survive the night," So Hee said.

Agust stilled.

Life and death were designs that never scared the mad king.

The war affected aspects of their existence and the king knew that eventually he would have to face his end too. It didn't matter what the time would be, because he was certain that that was path that even the immortal world always finds a way around.

After all, there was always a loop in the realm of everything. He had expected that, but he hadn't. Hearing what he was hearing was something that he had expected and King Agust was at a loss for a good minute.

He just stared at his enforcer, like he was waiting for her to say that this wasn't what it was. He wanted her to admit that she had not said the right words or it was someone else she was referring to.

Perhaps he was being paranoid because it couldn't be what he was thinking, right? He was in denial, another aspect of life that had Agust turning to Jung Hyuk, pure rage in his eyes for the man who had dared to make his Erasthai uncomfortable.

Then again, what were the odds that Agust was overthinking all of this?

"He? Which 'he,' So Hee-yah," the king asked and for a brief moment, So Hee could have sworn she saw hurt in Jung Hyuk's eyes. Then again, that wouldn't matter because right now, the king was the priority.

This man had done so much for them over the years that it wasn't fair to play such games with him.

Then again, what games were these when the Helia palace was surrounded by Lycans who were excitedly waiting rather than the king to come and congratulate them like he always did for the past years?

If the past two years had never happened then it would have been fun, and Agust reminded himself of that a little too harshly. Is it his fault though?

"Your majesty—" So Hee tried.

"My Jiminie?" King Agust asked and Jung Hyuk felt like he had been gut-punched. He had never heard Agust claim someone like that. He had never heard Agust talk of someone so fondly.

Jung Hyuk and Agust had fucked more times than possible over the span of their miserable existence and even then, the king had never once referred to him as his.

He was just Jung Hyuk.

Not special, and unimportant to hold a title that screamed belonging for the mad king. And it hurt like hell.

"What?" Jung Hyuk asked, before adding humorlessly;

"Your Jiminie? The damn alpha mutt?"

"You'll get yourself killed, you little shit," So Hee said to Jug Hyuk but the man didn't seem to take the warning seriously because he continued ranting about Jiminie and how he was a wolf that they had been destined to eliminate.

Helia was bound to expand the birds and Jung Hyuk had been all for that, until the moment that the wolf pack was suddenly standing after the shit that they had done. It wasn't fair and Jung Hyuk had wanted to take out Kiyoto.

For years he had begged king Agust to let him lead a raid on the strongest werewolf pack in the realm, and every single time, he had been turned down. The king never paid heed to his word and he never gave him the go-ahead.

Jung Hyuk may have been obsessed with Agust, but he was intelligent enough to know that defying Agust was a death wish. But this time, he had crossed the line.

"It was you, wasn't it?" Agust voiced as he looked at the man he had been fucking for the past few weeks.

He had always known that Jung Hyuk was a vile person, but he never once complained, because there was never an evil person that would ever outdo King Agust's wretchedness.

Agust was the devil king for a reason.

He was the kind of bad that even the dead were scared of. He was cruelty personified and the man had just defied him.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Ming Xiao," Jung Hyuk said defiantly with a pout as he stared at the king.

On normal occasions, his pout would have worked on the king and he would have been made to choke on the king's massive cock, but today was not one of those days.

"I will ask this just once, Jung Hyuk," Agust spoke and Jung Hyuk felt the shackles on his body. He knew that this was never going to be easy for him, so when the king spoke again, he knew he had to make a choice.

"Was it you?" Agust added boredly.

"No. I just joined them. Besides, it was that or we would have been killed. What is so special about that weak wolf anyway? You have me, Ming Xiao. I love you and I will live longer than Park Jimin ever will.

"I am a Lycan like you and I know more about Helia than he ever will. I have a cunt too, and you breed me whenever you want. If it is heirs you want, you can fuck me day in and out, Ming Xiao. I am here for you to use whenever you please.

"You don't need the stupid alpha wolf. He is even dying, so you will be free and able to mate with me while we were meant to be," Jung Hyuk said.

Agust stared at him, wondering where the lines had gotten so gray and how audacious Jung Hyuk had gotten. The Lycan king was in so much pain from the beating he had gotten from Ho Jung, but as he stared at Jung Hyuk.

Agust felt like he should have stayed back, and gotten more beatings. Maybe that would have made it easier for him to understand the magnitude of the loss he was about to face.

The fact that Jiminie was in pain was not even making sense, because Jiminie was supposed to be stronger.

Agust hated himself for what had happened to Jiminie. He despised the way that shit had happened and frankly, he hated how Jiminie hadn't tried to reach out to him.

The alpha should have called out for him, and Agust would have shown up even if it was his worst state.

But then how was Jiminie supposed to, when the Lycans were Agust's people?

When this was happening barely days after Jung Hyuk had gotten fucked by the king?

"Enforcer So Hee," King Agust spoke and so Hee stood at attention.

"Take warrior Jung Hyuk to the Ho Jung Dungeons. If he tries to resist, kill him. If he speaks, kill him. If he tries to use magic, kill him. If he so much as breathes the wrong way… kill him," King Agust said.

Jung Hyuk knew he was done for.

The Ho Jung Dungeons were the worst horror of any Lycan.

Most who had been there talked about being whipped by the former dead king's ghost, but none of them knew that it was the former king who was beating them up for real. But those were some things Agust wasn't about to debunk.

"What about the Lycans outside, Sire," So Hee asked carefully.

"I am leaving for Kiyoto. The kingdom will be on a lockdown. You are allowed to kill them all if they try to be stupid.

"My beloved Erasthai needs me," King Agust said before he created a portal to Kiyoto, leaving a shocked Jung Hyuk and a sad So Hee at the palace.

This was going to be a long evening.
