Mizuki slowly opened his eyes, squinting at the clock that read 7:00 AM. He wondered why he couldn't sleep longer until a familiar voice outside his door made it clear.
Anko: "Mizuki, open the door now! I promise I won't dump ice water on you."
With a sigh, Mizuki opened the door to find Anko, the purple-haired kunoichi, standing there. Before he could react, she barged in as if she owned the place.
Anko: "It's a bit early. What's for breakfast?"
Mizuki: "Instant noodles or maybe some food pills mixed with toxins?"
Anko made a face at his culinary choices before shaking her head. She pulled out a bag of ingredients, surprising Mizuki.
Mizuki: "Did you buy all these ingredients?"
Anko: "Yep! And since you're too lazy to cook, consider this my treat for today."
Anko chuckled and shooed him away from the kitchen, promising to call him when breakfast was ready. Mizuki took a quick shower, changed clothes, and returned to find Anko had prepared dumplings.
Mizuki and Anko: "Itadakimasu!"
After finishing the dumplings, Anko turned to Mizuki with a smirk.
Anko: "Do you know what day it is, Mizuki?"
Mizuki: "Huh? Did I forget something?"
Anko sighed dramatically.
Anko: "You forgot our graduation day, you goof."
Mizuki laughed sheepishly.
Mizuki: "Sorry about that. We should head over there now."
Without delay, they teleported to the academy. The teacher, as boring as ever, explained the graduation test and handed out papers.
Mizuki quickly finished the test, surprised by its simplicity. He even managed a short nap before the practical exam.
Instructor: "Mizuki, please demonstrate the Clone Jutsu."
Mizuki nodded and performed the hand signs (Ram -> Snake -> Tiger), creating four clones. He chose a standard headband and walked out, holding it in his hand.
The Next Day
Mizuki sat in class, feeling a bit melancholic as his free days at the academy came to an end. The teacher entered with a list of three-member teams.

Mizuki was fine with being on a team with Anko and Yamuto. He knew that in the future, Anko would be marked with a curse seal by Orochimaru due to her talent. Thinking ahead, he considered bringing Yamuto with him to help save Anko during that inevitable confrontation.
