Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The planet named Orion and its Dark Past

Third POV

In the beginning…The Father of Creation forged a world from the embers of stars and named it:

ORION.

Seven continents bloomed across its surface, each radiant in their own splendor—mountains that touched the skies, seas that whispered secrets, forests where time stood still.

On the second day, the Father gave form to five Celestial Beasts, sacred titans who would become the Pillars of Orion.

On the third, He summoned the Elemental Archons, entrusted with the flow of magic and the balance of the world.

On the fourth, He exhaled life—birthing races of wonder:Humans. Beastfolk. Elves. Demons. Dwarves. Halflings. Waterkind. And more.

On the fifth, He gifted them magic. And to each race, He gave a Leader, chosen to guide and protect.

On the sixth, His masterpiece complete, the Father departed to craft new realms, leaving Orion in the care of His divine creations.

But where light is born, darkness follows.

From the shadows of the Black Void, a malevolent force stirred—The Ancient Serpent, eternal enemy of harmony.

It slithered into the hearts of mankind, whispering lies and secrets never meant for mortal ears.

To the Leader of Humanity—the Great Sage—it offered forbidden magic. And thus, the Sage became its puppet… and its weapon.

Orion fell.

Celestial Beasts were slain.Elemental Archons were executed in the streets. The world bled beneath the Sage's iron reign.

Alliance after alliance shattered under his power. With a flick of his fingers, entire armies vanished.

Humanity rose. The Great Sage became King of the World. And the heavens turned their face away.

Until one day...A single prayer broke through the silence. The Father wept at the devastation.

With his final divine act, He blessed a single soul—Azrael, son of the fallen Demon King Azazel.

Rising from the ashes, Azrael led all races to rebellion.

The war was long.Magic clashed.Steel sang. And the skies cried fire.

At the war's end, Azrael struck down the Great Sage. But the victory came with a curse.

Dark magic had taken root in his blood. The Serpent's venom would live on through his kin.

To stop it, Azrael sought the ancient dark elf:Hilrey Komoguth, Warden of Forbidden Magic.

"Seal me. While I still have control."

And so, they bound him in Holy Chains. But as the ritual began, a shadow emerged…

The Serpent.

"Sneaky Warden."

"You will die, Elf. As will Azrael's line."

But Hilrey's will did not break.

"Divine Prison—ACTIVATE!"

With the last of his strength, Hilrey sealed Azrael and severed the Serpent's gateway into Orion.

The Serpent fled into the Black Void——but its curse remained.

"We will see, Warden of Prisons... We will see..."

Eons later...

The war was forgotten. The Sage's sins faded into myth.Azrael's name, lost to dust.

Now, once more, the hunts begin.Demons are slaughtered.Old magic stirs. The Serpent's whisper returns.

"Are you sure this is the demon child with the vision, Keiran?"

"Yes, Grandma. She saw a hero arriving soon."

"Protect her. Cain's cult attempts a summoning tonight… One of them may be the prophesied one."

"The Sage's spirit must not return…"

Meanwhile in kingdom of Korra

In a gilded office atop the castle tower, the King's adviser, Alexander Coroy, sighs.

"Report, Captain Callan."

"The New Magus Federation has been eliminated. But someone… beat us to them."

"Did they succeed in summoning?"

Callan smirks."Low-tier mages? Doubtful. Even our elite can't manage it."

"Good. Then focus on the Sage's grimoire. That book is disaster incarnate. It cannot fall into the wrong hands."

"Consider it done, Sir."

But far beyond the veil…

A presence watches.A smile coils.

"So it begins again..."
