Chapter 69 - Chapter 68

10/9 14:27 (Autumn, Night, Mysterious Island)

Sider stopped herself before she fully transformed, well aware of its drawbacks, but still wanting to make the most she could out of the Innate Skill "Enhancement: Transformation", Innate Skill that she was forced to exercise by remaining fully transformed from dawn to dusk, before being forced to deal with the pain and strain by herself as an additional way to train both the Innate Skill she was born with, "Enhancement: Physicality", and her Cultivation.

As such, it was no wonder then that she very quickly learned how to regulate her transformation while being careful to maximize her resulting power as much as she needed at any time, power that she brought out to express in full her rising annoyance towards her opponent and her situation as a whole.

Her hands clenched hard, shattering the wrists belonging to the Fake-Kobold currently stuck under her foot before accumulating Lightning-Attribute Mana around her whole body, rising her foot before Channeling her electricity in her raised limbs before she stomped down on the Fake-Cultivator's chest, a thunderclap overwhelming all other sounds as she mercilessly yet quickly killed the Fake-Kobold she was able to capture.

The Werewolf turned her attention back towards the other seven Fake-Kobolds, still stunned because of the incredibly loud sound she just caused with her stomp, jumping forward with a newly created Lightning Spear that she threw forward, anticipating her own attack, all the while unaware of the way that the fallen Kobold's Vital Energy, Mana and Fake-Qi flowed down, deeper in.

Sider moved forward, her strenght and speed enough to crumble the rocks underneath her feet with her steps alone, especially considering how she was not bothering to hold back or control her strenght at all, her gaze dangerously focused on her current target alone while she pulled back her left fist.

The Kobold she was aiming at responded by coating all ten of its claws in a dense layer of Fake-Qi before it clawed forward, sending ten flying slashes towards the Werewolf and in response she simply jumped, spinning in mid-air before creating a pillar from the ground that she grabbed to redirect herself from her previous trajectory to dodge by another couple of attacks, the pole being pulled with her as a temporary weapon for the near future.

The dark-blue scales present on her target's reptilian mug broke under the weight of her improvised staff as she masterfully swung it on it without any hesitation multiple times, her ears twitching and causing her to retreat, dodging a sharp, two meters long spike of concentrated stone in her previous location, lightning accumulating around her right hand before launching behind her to fall upon another Fake-Cultivator.

The proper Cultivator skillfully yet brutally twisted herself in mid-air, despite her significant size, to land on the ball of her feet before launching herself towards another group of Fake-Kobolds, using her pole to dodge over another series of attacks, spinning in mid-air before lenghtening her staff to smash it over one of her opponent's head, sending it to the ground.

Before she could reach it to finish off another one of her opponents, she thrusted her staff to the ground, throwing herself high in the sky to dodge a Kobold trying to hug her from behind with the intent on stopping her in place long enough for its comrades to gain an advantage, before she swung her staff down on it, blocking it in place against the ground.

Before her opponents could retake initiative, she threw herself down on a double knee strike directly to the stuck Fake-Kobold, cratering the ground beneath them both before joining her hands over her head, Lightning-Attribute Mana and Earth-Attribute Mana fusing together in a different configuration than her Thunder Gems.

Normally, excluding the Curse- and Holy-Attributes, fusing two Attributes together had two major ways of Manifesting, with the Form of one and the Substance of the other, as demonstrated by her Thunder Gems made using the Form of the Earth-Attribute and the Substance of the Lightning-Attribute but this time, for the first time in her life and led only by her murderous instinct, she inverted her Composited Attribute's composition.

Earth-Attribute Mana raged chaotically and erratically around her joined hands, her eyes focused on the target of her next attack as she separated her limbs, black and yellow lightning raging around her closed right hand, before she punched down.

From the point of impact, a violent shockwave was released, the rock floor beneath them shattering completely and a miniaturized earthquake filled the room, dark bolts of golden lightning raining down upon the whole room and forcing the other Kobolds in an hasty retreat.

Sider stood back up, her gaze trailing curiously between her hand still clad in small, dark sparks and the result of her previous blow, the upper half of the fallen Fake-Kobold being unceriously ripped apart, its blood and bones flowing on the hungry floor.

The Cultivator looked towards the other six remaining Fake-Cultivators, her Terran Lightning starting to hesitantly coat her body in place of her previous Lightning-Attribute Mana, her feet shattering the rocks around her body upon contact with the immense force shaped like lightning bolts constantly raining down upon the area around her.

Her shaft flew in her waiting right hand, coating itself in her Terran Lightning and spinning on itself, shattering and deflecting the gravelous spears launched towards her body before she sharpened one of its tip and threw it at full force.

Her spear flew true, piercing through an hastily raised earthen wall and the Fake-Kobold it in vain failed to protect, demonstrating once more the immense destructive and quite Physical force that was the difference between her Thunder Gems and Terran Lightning.

The struct Fake-Qi user had barely any time to scream in pain, its chest destroyed at once by her thrown weapons, its head and limbs flying away, its remains melting down in a purple flurry that under her curious silver eyes was drunk in by the walls and floors.

"Is it being this blatant because I already know how it works?" She wondered to herself aloud, her current excitiment reguarding her newest discovery having cleared her murderous intent enough for her to wonder once again of this place.

Her dark skin was more than capable to deal with the backlash caused her by her Terran Lightning thanks to her efforts in Cultivation, resisting the shocks that illuminated her while her eyes and other, less protected parts of her body were instead protected by a thin, protective layer of Earth-Attribute Mana, her Qi Sense together with various other senses, more than enough to deal with her loss in sight.

Sider mid-run thrusted her hand in the ground and, taking advantage of her new Composite Attribute, flipped up part of the floor to create a wall before her, wall that she threw forward at full force, forcing the Fake-Kobolds to separate and opening them up for her follow-up attacks.

10/10 5:13 (Autumn, Day, Midrar, Base)

Luna stopped her efforts, accepting that at least for now she couldn't fuse her False Domain with her Aura, aware by this point that the first of the two was too rigid to mix properly, even with her very best trial being a very short-lived False Domain reguarding her Aura alone that, as was natural between the contact of two different Domains, caused both to fall apart in an instant and stalled her progress for a good five minutes because of the backlash.

Result that, almost as if to mock the rest of her training, was not even able to properly reproduce during all of her time trying to, her lips twisted in a brief pout before she rejoined her Mates, joining their conversation, or more specifically the conversation that Mafel just started, the Artifact generating Mana having finished in being Devoured.

"So what would you three do if you met another you?" The Elf asked curious only to recieve three, very different, answers.

"I'd probably just start a battle to the death, winner takes all. I'm not very good with equals and challenges and death matches are much simpler to deal with." Amber hesitantly answered, her gaze evading her Mates' own.

"I, it's probably a less, interesting answer but I'd probably try to become friends? I mean, if I meet another me, she'd probably like the same stuff as me and a new friend is always welcome, right?" Sabel embarassingly answered second, awkwardly trying to distract them from the Demon-blooded's own answer only to be flustered under her Mates' gaze.

"How cute." Mafel teased, entertained by the gentle answer, especially in comparison to Amber's much more dangerous one before turning her purple eyes towards Luna, curious to were her answer would fall in between the answers only for said answer to greatly surprise her.

"I'd seduce me." The Lunarian indifferently and bluntly replied before continuing on almost insulted once she felt her Mates' emotions. "What? What's so strange about my response? I'm more than hot enough for me to seduce. I'm instead surprised and worried you three don't think of yourselves as attractive."

Her three Mates looked at each other before turning back to the white-haired one in unison silently deciding to start explaining, starting with Amber. "No, see, we do recognize we are attractive, it's just that we aren't attracted to ourselves."

"Why not?" Luna asked genuinely confused. "I find myself attractive, I even find my previous self, Scarlet, to be attractive."

"Don't worry, it's just a difference in perspective and your confidence is very cute. I doubt however that we could desire ourselves, sexually or romantically." Mafel tried to reassure her Vampiric Mate only to choose the categorically wrong words to use.

"In that case, it's a very simple thing to change, you all just need to use your Mate's Marks to feel and share in my attraction towards you." She affirmed before concentrating on sharing her feelings and the things she loved about her Mates with them, the way that Amber and Sabel were easily able to sit on her lap, the feeling of resting her head on Mafel's legs, playing with her Mates' hair, their heated gazes upon her, their flustering under her attentions, the teasing made by Mafel, the passion they shared during their nights together, the bewitching taste of their blood upon her tongue…

Luna was stopped from continuing on to shamelessly share even more by Mafel, the only one of the three still functional enough to intervene. "Enough, please stop. We understand, there is no need to continue."

"Are you sure? I can still go on for a long while." Luna calmly affirmed slowing down from further observation upon feeling all three of her Mates' desire for her to both stop and continue in her sharing.

"Yes, please. In the future, don't do it without warning us before. It's embarrassing." Amber affirmed, her flushed face covered by her hands to try and quite uselessly hide as much of her reactions as she could. "And this did not change my opinion on another me! At most it changes my opinions on our Mates, not on myself."

At feeling the concord between all three of her Mates, Luna could but shrug her shoulder, judging them all to be quite strange but still fascinating existences, deciding to chalk the difference to their biases alone.
