When the employees saw Elly Campbell, they felt as if they saw their pillar of strength, and their hearts settled a bit.
Wiping the moisture from under her eyes, one said to Elly Campbell:
"Miss Baker wanted to go up to see the president, but since she didn't have an appointment, I stopped her, so…"
