To call her over, just to humiliate herself?
Sofia Hamilton's heart grew colder bit by bit, until it held no warmth at all.
A faint, self-deprecating smile pulled at the corners of her lips…
She was foolish to have been so beside herself over this incident.
To have believed that he was sincere with her, to have kept convincing herself to give him time, to have fantasized that he had already cut ties with Regina Brown – no longer in contact with her at all.
