"Alright, I'll take you back," Jack said, "Don't ever run off alone again, it's very dangerous."
"I was looking for you," Penelope smiled radiantly.
"I won't leave."
He never really left, in fact.
Jack picked Penelope up.
He wore a white T-shirt with a gray shirt over it.
The shirt was left open to shield Penelope within, protecting her from the harmful sunlight.
Penelope obediently leaned into Jack's embrace, her eyes softly gazing up at him.
Jack brought Penelope to the teacher's office.
"Who is her teacher? How could they let her run off alone? If something happened, who would take responsibility?"
Jack's expression was cold, his voice even colder, and completely devoid of the tenderness he had spoken with to Penelope just moments before.
The teachers in the office exchanged looks, intimidated by his aura.
One of the female teachers recovered first and hurriedly took Penelope into her arms, "We... we were just looking for her everywhere."
