Roode staggered, but Drew wasn't done. He yanked Roode in, scooping him up and slamming him down with a brutal powerslam. Drew took a moment, pacing around the ring with a cold smirk as Roode writhed in pain. Then he ran to the ropes and came back with a jumping elbow drop, landing right across Roode's chest. He went for the pin.
One…
Two— Roode kicked out again!
Drew let out a grunt, shaking his head. He grabbed Roode and pulled him up, locking him in for a suplex. But Roode fought back, throwing a punch into Drew's ribs. Then another. And another! The third shot loosened Drew's grip just enough for Roode to break free and counter with a suplex of his own!
The crowd erupted as both men were now down on the mat, catching their breath. The referee started counting.
One!
Two!
Both men stirred, their arms reaching toward their respective corners.
Three!
Roode crawled… Drew crawled…
Four!
Roode lunged and tagged in Kofi!
The crowd went wild as Kofi leaped over the top rope, bursting into the ring with energy. He charged at Drew, who had stood up as he failed to tag in Nick, and went for a clothesline but Kofi managed to duck and springboard off the ropes to hit him with a crossbody!
Nick tried to interfere, rushing into the ring, but Kofi was ready. He ducked Nick's attempted clothesline and hit a standing dropkick that sent him rolling out of the ring.
With Nick out of the way, Kofi turned his focus back to Drew. He sprinted to the ropes again, rebounded, and leaped into the air, hitting the Boom Drop right across Drew's chest! The crowd counted along as he pounded the mat.
Boom! Boom!
Kofi got back to his feet, waving his hands, signaling for Trouble in Paradise!
Drew slowly pushed himself up, dazed.
Kofi spun—
But Drew ducked under it!
Before Kofi could react, Drew ran to the ropes behind him, and Kofi failing to nail the hit turned around to face him. Using the momentum from the ropes and with a roar, he goes to hit Kofi with his finisher the Claymore managing to hit Kofi right in the face!
The impact of the kick was thunderous, and the crowd gasped. Drew went for the pin!
One…
Two…
Roode breaks it up!
Just as the referee's hand was about to hit the mat for three, Roode dove in, stomping on Drew's back to break the count.
Nick rushed back into the ring, tackling Roode and sending both of them tumbling to the outside. They brawled near the barricade, exchanging heavy punches while the referee tried to regain order.
Meanwhile, back in the ring, Drew got to his feet, glaring down at Kofi, who was still groggy. He grabbed Kofi by the hair, dragging him up, but Kofi threw a desperate punch into Drew's gut. Then another. Kofi fought back with everything he had, forcing Drew to stumble backward.
Seizing the moment, Kofi leaped up—
Trouble in Paradise!
The kick connected flush with Drew's jaw, and he crumpled to the mat!
Kofi crawled over, draping an arm across Drew's chest.
One…
Two…
Three!
The bell rang, and the crowd erupted!
"Here are your winners… the team of Kofi Kingston and Bobby Roode!"
Kofi rolled off of Drew, exhausted but victorious. Roode slid back into the ring, helping Kofi up as the two of them raised their arms in triumph. The fans cheered, knowing that one half of Dragon Boom and one half of Beer Money Inc. now had the power to choose the stipulation for their semifinal match in the FCW North American Championship tournament.
Nick, on the outside, sat against the barricade, running his hands through his hair in frustration, while Drew, still recovering from the kick, glared up at the ceiling in frustration. As for Kofi and Roode, they celebrated in the ring, soaking in the moment.
The commentary team recapped the action one last time before the show went off the air. "Ladies and gentlemen, what a match we've just witnessed! Kofi Kingston and Bobby Roode have secured their place in the semifinals, and they now hold the power to choose the stipulation for their match next week!"
"And what a semifinal it will be!" the second commentator chimed in. "Because FCW management has just announced via Twitter and the official FCW forum that next week, both semifinal matches will take place on the same night, back to back, and immediately afterward, the winners will go head to head in the final match at the main event to crown the inaugural FcW North American Championship!"
The announcement sent shockwaves through the audience. That meant whoever made it to the finals would have to wrestle twice in one night, testing their endurance and determination. Fans at home exploded with speculation over the stipulation Kofi and Roode would choose, while those in attendance cheered as the victorious team celebrated in the ring.
As the show went off the air, the wrestlers slowly made their way backstage. Kofi and Roode were all smiles, while Nick and Drew, still recovering from their loss, were visibly irritated. It was clear that things were far from over between these four.
Meanwhile, Sandro had long since finished his match earlier in the night. After his post match cooldown, he had changed into a casual yet stylish outfit, packed up his things, and started saying his goodbyes to the FCW roster and crew.
"Great job tonight, man," Sheamus said, clapping Sandro on the back.
"That Downfall DDT was deadly and a thing of beauty at the same time," Bray Wyatt added with a grin, referring to Sandro's finisher that was still a fresh new variation of DDT that was rarely used.
Sandro chuckled, slinging his bag over his shoulder. "Yeah, let's just hope the fans don't forget about the heat in one night," he joked.
After making his rounds, and shaking hands with a few more people, Sandro made his way toward the parking lot. His destination? A celebratory dinner with Nicole, Brianna, and April.
Earlier in the day, it had been officially confirmed that Nicole and Brianna, better known as The Bella Twins, were being called up to the main roster and it had been spread across the FCW.
It was a huge moment for them, and Sandro had promised to take them out to celebrate before they flew to Tampa the next morning to join the WWE roster.
As he walked toward his car, he checked his phone. A message from Nicole popped up. Nicole: "We're waiting out back. You better not have forgotten about dinner."
Sandro smirked. He quickly texted back, "On my way now."
Sandro pulled up to the back area of the building, where Nicole, Brianna, and April were waiting for him. The three women were chatting excitedly, their faces lit up with excitement. The moment they saw Sandro's car, they climbed in.
"Finally," Nicole said as she shut the door. "I was starting to think you were gonna leave us hanging."
Sandro rolled his eyes as he started the car. "Yeah, like I'd survive if I ditched all three of you."
Brianna laughed from the backseat. "Smart man."
As he drove toward the Italian restaurant he had booked for the night, the conversation in the car was lively. Nicole and Brianna, still buzzing from their call up, couldn't stop talking about what awaited them on the main roster.
"I can't believe it's actually happening," Brianna said. "Like, we've been working toward this for so long, and now it's real. We're gonna be on Raw or SmackDown."
Nicole nodded, leaning her head back against the seat. "I was nervous before, but now? I'm just excited. I wanna show everyone that The Bella Twins are the real deal."
Sandro glanced at her from the driver's seat. He knew she had been worried earlier, when she first called him about the news, she had sounded anxious, unsure if she was really ready to be separated far from him. But now, seeing the joy in her eyes, he felt relieved.
"You guys are gonna kill it," April said, smiling. "But that just means Sandro and I have to get called up soon so we can keep up with you two."
Nicole turned to Sandro and April who sat at the front, raising an eyebrow. "Exactly! When is that happening, huh?"
Sandro smirked. "Guess we'll just have to win everything in FCW until they have no choice but to call us up."
The car burst into laughter as they continued their ride, the energy in the car feeling light and celebratory.
Arriving at the high end Italian restaurant, Sandro pulled into the valet parking area. The four of them stepped out, and a well dressed waiter greeted them, leading them inside to their reserved table in a private section, Sandro had made sure of that.
This is so that Sandro, April, and Nicole could be much more relaxed as with Brianna present and combined with a private section, the chance of paparazzi or news reporters catching them.
After sitting down, they ordered drinks and food, the atmosphere feeling warm and relaxed. As they waited for their meals, the conversation naturally shifted toward the twins' expectations for the main roster.
"So, what are you most excited about?" April asked, looking at Nicole and Brianna.
"Honestly?" Brianna said, tapping her fingers on the table. "Just being part of the big show. I wanna see how we stack up against the best."
Nicole nodded. "Yeah, and I wanna make sure we stand out. We don't wanna just be 'the new girls.' We wanna make an impact."
Sandro smirked. "You planning on kicking someone's head off first night?"
Nicole shrugged playfully. "If that's what it takes."
The group laughed, but Sandro could see the fire in Nicole's eyes. She meant every word.
Then, shifting gears, Nicole looked at Sandro and April. "But seriously, you two need to get called up soon. I don't wanna be separated for long."
April smiled. "You know we're working on it."
Sandro leaned back in his chair. "One thing at a time. But trust me, we'll get there."
As their food arrived, the conversation continued, filled with laughter, memories, and big dreams for the future. The night felt like a perfect send off, a moment for the four of them to enjoy before everything changed.
Several days had passed since the celebratory dinner, and Sandro had kept himself busy with training, matches, and his usual behind the scenes activities in FCW. But on this particular afternoon, as he lounged on his couch in his apartment, he received a call from Hugo.
The moment Sandro saw Hugo's name on his phone screen, he sat up, already having an idea of what the call was about. He answered quickly, his tone expectant.
"Tell me you've got good news," Sandro said.
Hugo's voice came through, steady and businesslike as always, but with a hint of excitement. "The results just came out. Your name was the first to be mentioned among the investors in the Spotify investment round."
A slow smirk spread across Sandro's face. "Yeah? And?"
"Officially, the public knows that 25% was put up in the investment round," Hugo continued. "But I just received the official document just for you to know how much you received, and I can tell you exactly how much you got."
Sandro leaned forward, his heart pounding a little faster. "Hit me with it."
"You got 11% of the 25%," Hugo revealed. "That makes you the fourth biggest shareholder in Spotify, right below Daniel Ek and their biggest investors." For a moment, Sandro just sat there, absorbing the weight of that information. It was one thing to know he'd made a solid investment, but to now be one of the most influential shareholders in Spotify? That was another level entirely.
