Chapter 5 - Childhood 4

I managed to make it in time before my history teacher arrived. Taking my seat before the bald teacher arrives, I noticed that something changed inside of the classroom. My classmates showed some signs of gloom, their faces also appeared to be pale.

Not knowing what happened, I asked my seatmate John. He looked like your average delinquent, especially because of his buzz cut hairstyle paired with his stylish earrings.

"Aye twin! wanna tell me what's up with them mofos strange faces?" I inquired intellectually and respectfully, definitely not insulting the rest of my classmates whatsoever.

"Aye waddup home boy." He motioned for a fist bump, or in other words he dapped me up. I complied of course, since that's our way of greeting one another.

"Wanna know the shits about to go down now just cuz of the rooms dim mood huh?" He said in a slightly teasing tone. "Well since you asked, one of our classmates went missing." pausing for a few seconds, he looked around us and he leaned closer to my ear and whispered "Billy didn't go home a few days ago after we went to a party and before you start pointing your fingers at me, just want to let you know it ain't me. I'll tell you the rest after baldy finishes his class."

Hoho? so he knows something, and it has something to do with the so called 'party'? I would usually instantly snitch on him, no questions asked. But based on the severity of the situation, I'll hear him out. In order to make a proper judgement, hearing both sides are essential for fairness and to exact justice.

Mr. Baldy opened the door of the room and greeted us, then proceeded to cover our lesson for today. I'm not skipping his lesson by the way since it's essential for world building. The subject he taught is history, and today we're going to tackle the existence of supernatural powers and how the humans came to hold that said power.

"A century ago, all humans were normal. They didn't have any sort of powers, they are what you would call a mundane." Baldy stopped speaking and called a student "Richelle, Explain why the humans from a century ago didn't have powers."

The girl named Richelle stood up and answered his question "Sir Roman, I would like to answer your question, but I have no idea why." okay, she didn't answer the question, and if anything, it only served to piss Baldy off. Before he could open his mouth to shout at us and scold us, I raised my hand to answer.

"Yes, Luxeffer?" He called me so I stood up and said "We were all originally mundane, sir." Baldy walked closer to me and inquired even further "Would you care to give an explanation as to why that is?" I stood straight and explained with enthusiasm "Our powers came from a meteorite, and the meteorite is slightly bigger than a human fist."

"The moment that small pebble hit our world, humanity gained their unique supernatural powers or some might just simply call it superpowers nowadays. Although-" I was about to add some additional information, but the stupid Baldy interrupted me from speaking "Okay, that's enough nerd." this is the fucking reason why I'm calling this bitch a Baldy. I refuse to respect something like him, he's absolutely despicable and a waste of oxygen, fuck him.

I don't even know why this Baldy keeps on targeting me, I'm just your average nonchalant guy in school. The Baldy kept yapping about the meteorite, essentially just repeating what I said, but his was a longer version than mine.

"That meteorite changed the world during the start of the 21st century, because as you all know, humans are easily intoxicated with even a little authority on their hands."

"When the meteorite landed at the remote village called Fakmi in Pakistan, the power contained by the meteorite scattered rapidly."

He continued walking slowly in circles around the room and occasionally glanced at us to see if we were paying attention to his lecture

"Traces of unique abilities started to develop on the inhabitants of that village, and another peoples of another village started to develop unique abilities too, and another and then another until it reached their neighboring countries and then the world."

He stopped walking and turned to face us after writing the word two on the board, he pointed at the words he wrote and spoke.

"Two weeks, it only took two weeks for the newly gained powers to spread across the globe."

"It didn't even take long before feudal wars began around the world, each of them fighting for their ambitions and beliefs."

"It took a few months to stabilize the world, and that was due to the appearance of the first generation of heroes."

"They were noble, vanquishing everything that stood in the way of peace. In the end, the heroes prevailed and established the Heroic collectives order."

"But just because they prevailed, doesn't mean peace and order was restored indefinitely. There still exist the fragments of beliefs and ideologies of the villains from a century ago, wanting to destroy everything the first generation built."

"That much was apparent from what the event entails just three years ago, when the heroes launched a full scale attack against the hiding villains, only to end with them escaping and taking full control of the Philippines."

"Up until now, they exist and will continue to exist as long as we have differing beliefs and opinions about each other. Who knows? maybe one of you might even become an extremist and become a villain."

His lips curled in to a smile, a very eerily creepy one at that, and that's another reason to hate this mother fucker sincerely. I despise this Baldy, but I can't disagree with what he said, conflicts will always arise when two individuals have clashing opinions, that much is true.

Everyone is just different from each other, whether it be of different race, skin color, religion, nationality, and many more. Conflict can happen anywhere in the world, it doesn't matter the standing you possess, how noble you are, and where you are.
