In this world Kushina uzumaki was quite a famous ninja, not because she fought in the front lines or killed hundreds of people as a Jinchuriki, but because of her Fuinjutsu!
Very few even knew she was a jinchuriki, she was instead known for being one of the very few Masters of Fuinjutsu and was the main supplier of high ranked seals to the village, as Minato and Jiraiya were preoccupied on missions.
During the fight with Shisui, Chiba accidentally spread his observation Haki out and sensed Kushina, and the malicious beast hidden in side of her.
Chiba had nearly faultered when he sensed the beast looking at him intently, but he managed to steel his nerves and continue fighting Shisui as Kushina stopped the nine tailed fox from causing any trouble
What shocked Chiba even more than the tailed beast was Kushina herself. Out of every single ninja in this world, she was the first ninja to sense Chiba's observation Haki when it had washed over her.
This reminded Chiba of Karin Uzumaki and her overwhelmingly powerful 'Minds eye of Kagura' jutsu that surpassed even dojutsu in sensing abilities. Chiba figured that Kushina must also have such powerful sensing abilities or else she couldn't have possibly sensed him.
"You are different from the regular Uchiha" Kushina said as she closed in on him, inspecting any and everything that made him special.
"Of course in different, I'm the first and only Uchiha who was born blind" Chiba's said as he sensed multiple Anbu and root Shinobi watching him from the shadows, he felt his hairs stand on end despite them being very far away.
Bending down next to his ear, Kushina whispered so no one else could hear her.
"I'm talking about the fact that know you can see the tailed beast inside of me" Kushina had a faint smirk on her face as Chiba's slightly faulter before returning to his completely stoic expression.
If the Danzo found out that an Uchiha knew who the tailed Jinchuriki was, there'd be hell to pay
Chiba was silent as she thought about his situation.
"I have no idea what your talking about, but I don't think we should be seen together."
'Fuck! Danzo is immediately going to bump my threat level drastically just by being next to the Jinchuriki as an Uchiha! Danzo was able to rip the sharingan out of Shisui with ease, and I was barely holding on against Shisui!'
With how big the village was, who would have thought that his Observation Haki would have swept Kushina's body Moreover, it just so happened that Kushina had the Uzumaki Eyes of Kagura ability!
"Oh? You don't want to be seen together? I wonder why that is?" Kushina said faining ignorance, Knowing why she being next to a Uchiha could ruffle some feathers.
"I am Uchiha, and you are.....a Jinchūriki..... Are you satisfied?" Chiba whisper Jinchuriki in order to not be heard by Anbu.
Kushina was a little surprise when Chiba didn't want to be seen with her, to be so young and already conscious about relations between his clan and the village. It was one thing to be strong at such a young age like Kakashi, but it was another to be wise.
"You don't have to worry about that at all. After all, I'm best friends with the wife of the Uchiha clans Patriarch and you don't even have a sharingan to use against me."
"There is a reason your allowed to be friends with the patriarchs wife even though it's dangerous." Chiba said as Kushina looked intrugued.
"Go on and tell me then, why am I 'allowed' to be friends with Mikoto" Kushina said sarcastic, wanting to hear the kids childish conspiracy theory.
"If anything were to happen to you by an Uchiha, then naturally the first person they'd suspect is the Uchiha member who is very close to you, Mikoto-san." Saying this, Kushina nodded slightly.
"Our clans Patriarch Is madly in love with his wife, and won't allow such a situation to come to be. The patriarchs wife being your friend, forces the Uchiha clan to crack down on any clam members attempts to harm you and forces us to be your body guard in disguise." A look of understanding appeared on Kushina face as she listened a bit more seriously.
"If you were attacked by an enemy ninja from another village in the Uchiha compound, they would immediately suspect the Uchiha we're apart of it. This mean that the moment you come into contact with any Uchiha, your rate of protect drastically increase for no expense to the village."
As Chiba finished speaking, Kushina went quite. While the woman was by no means dumb as a master of Fuinjutsu, she was a bit of an airhead when it came to politics.
"You over think too much kid....." Kushina said quietly.
As the Jinchuriki, she was unable to do a lot of things that normal people could do and it was just now thay she realized that if Mikoto wasn't the patriarchs wife, the village would have forbad their friendship. Either outright telling her not to see each other or secretly destroying their relationship to make it seem natural.
Then she had the realization that the village could have ruined friendships they deemed too dangerous, every failed friendship passed through her head as she wondered if the village caused them.
Looking at Kushina, Chiba saw that the woman's emotions were becoming sadder and sadder as she realized that she could never live a full life as a Jinchuriki. Feeling guilty at causing it, he tried to consolidate her somewhat.
"I guess if you look at it from a different perspective, Mikoto highly values your friend to the point she's willing to take such a risk to the clan for you. This is actually a good thing, if the village could so easily ruin your friendship, then they weren't true friends, were they?" Chiba said in the same voice he used to comfort Koizumi.
"...Your right! I don't need all of those friends that gave up on me so easily, not when I have a friend like Makoto, you know!" Seeing how quickly the red headed woman bounced back, Chiba felt Golden retriever energy from her.
"Anyways, talking about my friendship wasn't the reason I saught you out, this is." She said with a relatively thin book in her hand.
Chiba observation Haki saw a single word etched on the front of it "Seal"!
"How about you become my apprentice and I'll teach you Fuinjutsu!" Kushina said as she waved the book in the air.
Chiba looked at the woman with a puzzled look on his face as he struggled to understand why this was happening.
"Why are you picking me as your apprentice, just because I sensed the nine tails inside of you?" Chiba asked incredulously.
Kushina shook her head.
"I want you as a disciple not because you sensed the nine tails, but because the nine tails sensed you. Whatever sensory technique it is that you use to see, it awoken the nine tailed fox and it wanted to see who was producing it."
Chiba looked dumbfounded by what Kushina said, wondering if the nine tailed beast is after him for whatever reason.
"The nine tails has been apart of me for years and I've gotten use to it's malicious chakra, but when it sensed you, the beast felt threatened. This is why I want you as my disciple." Saying this, she handed the book to Chiba
Chiba froze for a moment, then shook the scroll in his hand.
"So, this scroll is..."
"It's a seal technique of the Uzumaki clan. If you accept me as your sensei, I'll give you all of the necessary scrolls to become an expert in Fuinjutsu and I'll help you study and train in it." Kushina said as time seemed to stop for Chiba.
'Two paths are before me, should I go to Orochimaru and achieve a quick power up while facing incredible danger, or should I learn Fuinjutsu from Kushina. While her path is much slower, it's undeniably far safer and it's potential his limitless'
Chiba quickly wanted the power that the Hashirama cells would bring, but he knew there was many ways he could get Hashirama cells in the future, but only a couple ways to become a fuinjutsu masters, so he decided to go with Kushina.
"So, that it? I just become your discipline without any tricks?" Chiba said wearily.
"No, it not entirely for free. My husband is going to become the next Hokage as it's his dream to do so, so I want you to gain a higher reputation within your clan. That way you can work together with my husband to repair the relationship ship between your clan and the village. That will be your cost!" Kushina said with a goofy smile.
Everytime Kushina walked through the village with Mikoto, she saw all of the negative looks that Mikoto was given because of the clans symbol, and she hated it! Kushina refused to see such a situation and let it continuing, so she was focusing on finding a way to bridge the gap.
Kushina only wanted what's best for the village, that's why she didn't complain about constantly being watch and never being allowed to leave the village.
She knew that if the Uchiha and the village consolidate, then the village will only become more powerful and the Uchiha can actually feel like the village was home! In her heart, Kushina believed that Chiba could be the one that helped close the gap!
After a moment of thought, Chiba got on one knee and tilted his head downward to the floor.
"Please teach me Sensei Kushina!"
