Watching Mother's perplexed face, Camila Walker hesitated before responding, "Hmm, what's wrong?"
Angela Reid turned her head, her face clouded with worry as she glanced at her husband on the hospital bed.
In contrast to her, Baxter Walker did not seem as visibly distressed, but he too looked gravely serious.
Noticing something off about her parents' expressions, Camila turned around, her gaze sweeping between the two before she looked at her mother and asked, "Mom, what's wrong with you both? Why do you both look so worried?"
After glancing at her daughter, Angela Reid spoke somberly, "Just now, Mrs. Pearce was here."
At this, Camila was momentarily stunned.
Mrs. Pearce was here? What for? To visit Dad?
In her memory, their relationship with the Pearce family wasn't so good as to warrant a visit to the sick.
Camila raised her head, looking at her mother Angela Reid, "What did she come here for?"
