Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Death Shall Descend Upon Earth When He Appears

"Welcome home," the demon said softly.

Nick's legs trembled. Before he could even take a breath—

The demon vanished.

In a blink, it was behind him.

Nick spun around, eyes wide—

The creature stood there, grinning wickedly, holding a chunk of flesh.

It raised the still-beating piece of heart to its mouth and bit into it.

Squish.

"Did you know… you're really delicious," it said with a twisted smile.

Nick's gaze dropped.

His shirt was drenched in red.

A hole—clean through his chest. His heartbeat was gone. His body went cold.

Blood poured down his torso, dripping from his fingers, and spilled out of his mouth.

The demon leaned closer, its breath warm and foul.

"You know, a human body can survive four minutes without a heart," it whispered, licking its lips.

"I would've loved to torture you slowly… but human males?"

It shrugged.

"Not really my type. I guess you got lucky."

Nick collapsed to his knees, screaming in agony.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Pain. Blinding, unbearable pain.

The demon stepped around him, facing the corpses again.

"What kind of face," it murmured,

"would you make… if I ate your whole family right in front of you?"

Nick's mind snapped.

"What the fuck… what the fuck is happening… what the FUCK is happening?!"

He screamed again, raw and helpless.

"God—help—HELP! PLEASE!"

But his voice faded. His throat burned, but no words came.

He begged.

The gods.

The universe.

Anyone. Anything.

Nothing.

The demon looked back at him, licking the blood from its fingers.

"Beg all you want."

It crouched down to his eye level.

"But no one's listening."

As the demon tore into the flesh, savoring every bite, something stirred in the air—

Dark. Cold. Unnatural.

A pitch-black orb shimmered into existence, floating silently above Nick's lifeless body.

It pulsed once—then descended.

FWOOSH.

It plunged into Nick's chest, where his heart used to be.

Silence.

Then—a faint glow. The orb reshaped itself… forming a new heart made of pure darkness.

But the demon didn't notice.

Licking its bloodstained fingers, it smirked.

"I guess he's dead."

It turned.

"Now, who's next…"

Its eyes locked onto a wardrobe.

From inside, a soft sob echoed. A child, hiding—terrified.

The demon's smile widened.

"Hahaha… jackpot."

It raised its clawed hand and took a step forward—

"Having fun?"

A cold voice cut through the air like a blade.

The demon froze. Its body tensed. That voice…

It spun to the side just in time, narrowly avoiding a slash from a figure that hadn't been there a second ago.

A towering presence.

Large shirtless man with black jeans with a gigantic ripped body

Long, wild hair.

Muscles tense with rage.

Eyes like glowing embers—red, piercing, deadly.

The figure stood between the demon and the child.

Silent. Unmoving. Radiating raw power.

The demon snarled, stepping back, unsure.

"Who the hell are you…"

The figure didn't answer.

Instead, it turned its head slightly—just enough for the demon to see his eyes again.

And they burned like hellfire.

Before the demon could move, the man disappeared.

"Where is he?" the demon panicked, eyes darting.

"Where are you looking?" the man whispered from behind.

The demon turned—and froze.

In the man's hand was a beating heart.

"M-my heart?" the demon stammered.

The man grinned and swallowed it whole. "Tch. Disgusting."

Fear gripped the demon. It smashed through a window and ran as fast as it could rushing into the forest trying to lose his trace .

"Did I lose him?" the demon panted.

But then… the world around it began to spin.

"What's happening…?" it whispered. Then it saw something—its own body, lying on the ground.

Its head had been sliced off.

"No… no…" the demon muttered in horror as its head grew back and reattached. It stumbled backward, trembling.

"Everything was going perfectly," it screamed. "I was torturing people, enjoying myself—and then you showed up! I'll kill you! I'll—"

"You're all bark and no bite," the man said calmly.

"If I could land a hit on you—"

The man laughed. "Alright. Hit me with your strongest attack. I won't move."

The demon prepared a massive energy blast from its mouth.

"Heh, fool. He's just a human," the demon thought.

The man folded his arms and smiled.

"Has he gone mad?" the demon whispered.

Then the man pointed—up at the sky.

The demon followed his finger. Its eyes widened.

A giant meteor was crashing down toward it, glowing with heat and fury.

The demon fell to its knees, overwhelmed.

"Is this… the power of a god?" it whispered.

The man stepped forward." God? I am being far more powerful than God "

The meteor struck.

And the demon was no more.

The remnants of the demon quivered, a pulsating echo of fear that surrendered before the impending explosion could fully envelop it.

As the explosion dissipated into the void, leaving only whispers of its ferocity "did it get destroyed humm... more life teleported

Nick's gaze pierced the lingering darkness, his voice a mixture of accusation and inquiry. "Was it you?"

His voice echoed through the quiet, carried by the wind like a warning.

Something… or someone else had just entered the game.
