Normal Talk- "Hello"
Evan Journal-[Hello]
System-[Hello]
.....
Evan felt that this guy could swallow an entire island in one gulp.
"It's the Island Whale, the largest whale in the world," Evan commented casually.
Robin, gripping the railing, gazed at Laboon and said, "I never expected to see it here."
Robin was quite knowledgeable about these matters. "It seems that this whale will eventually become an island in its own right, even after its death. However, it would be wise to avoid this guy for now. If we continue at this speed, the ship may be completely destroyed in no time," Evan warned calmly.
Taking a deep breath, Evan looked at Laboon. The rewards from the previous diary chapter had already been granted, including advanced swordsmanship and the Marine Six Styles. Evan had briefly glanced at the other bonuses but didn't find them particularly noteworthy.
He wondered if he could unleash his full power. He estimated that he could instantly defeat Laboon or even tear the massive whale into pieces. However, doing so might attract unwanted attention, possibly from Laboon's caretaker, the ship's doctor.
"Alright! Quickly change the ship's direction!" Nami snapped out of her shock, shouting at the crew with a worried expression. The Merry was minuscule compared to this enormous whale, making it vulnerable to destruction on impact.
"Zoro, what are you doing over there?" Nami noticed Zoro merely observing the situation. Her face turned dark. "If you can cut down this whale, get up there and try!"
Nami's sudden outburst jolted Zoro. He pointed to the front and said, "Look! The whale seems to be opening its mouth wide enough to swallow us."
The entire crew fell silent upon hearing this. Sanji lit a cigarette, a relieved expression on his face. Perhaps sacrificing this giant whale would save many beauties. Nami's complexion paled as she rushed to Evan and clung to him tightly, like a bear hugging its prey.
"Was it a good idea to follow them?" Tashigi thought when she saw the situation they were facing. First, helping a girl take a dragon to its native island while fleeing from corrupt marines who want to destroy the entire species just because of a rumor that they grant immortality.
Now an island whale is about to swallow them
What next will they face, a monstrous plant?
"Evan, use your abilities to lead us away!" Nami pleaded, unwilling to face the gaping maw of the whale. Falling inside would be a sure death sentence.
What Nami didn't realize was just how terrifying the Grand Line could be. She had barely entered and had already encountered this life-threatening situation.
"It's alright," Evan reassured Nami. "Laboon doesn't intend to eat us; he's just calling out to identify which pirate group we belong to. But this guy's making too much noise."
"I'm on it!" Luffy declared, his face swollen from the battle with Sanji. He was eager for a strong opponent to fight.
Luffy's excitement was palpable as he confronted the massive whale. However, Laboon's thick skin and layers of fat rendered Luffy's attacks ineffective, making it feel like he was tickling the colossal creature.
Sanji and Zoro's expressions soured as they realized their attacks were equally futile.
"Roar!" Laboon let out a deafening roar, and in the next moment, the Merry landed on the sea's surface. The ship was pushed directly toward the whale's massive mouth by a powerful current.
Amidst the chaos, Evan remained calm and motionless, fully aware of the situation.
Then, a series of thoughts raced through Evan's mind:
[Soon… We might be entering Laboon's stomach, and we could potentially meet Vivi there.]
[I Remembered that Vivi once sought to kill Laboon and even planted numerous explosives.]
[But Princess Vivi remains under Crocodile's control.]
[However, there is one thing to be said: I have a soft spot for a single ponytail.]
[Of course, double ponytails are great too; after all, they offer better control.]
[Vivi, you've chosen to rely on Nami's assistance in restoring your kingdom.]
[Rely on me to restore your kingdom!]
[After all… I wouldn't want King Cobra to suffer at the hands of the World Government.]
As these thoughts swirled in his mind, Evan continued to move steadily toward Laboon's maw. This situation was part of the canon, and even danger could be predicted and managed.
Laboon was a formidable creature, but it wasn't a serious threat in this instance.
"We're really going to be digested inside a whale's stomach?" Zoro gritted his teeth and asked, mainly directed at Evan to gauge his intentions. When they had turned around earlier, they had seen Evan calmly observing the situation, holding two beauties in his arms.
"Damn it, this crew is full of idiots," Zoro muttered, frustrated with the antics of his shipmates. In his opinion, they were all useless individuals. Luffy was a simpleton, Sanji was a pervert, Usopp was unreliable, Nami was a swindler, and Nico Robin just seemed to enjoy watching the chaos without any effect.
The only one who is truly Normal is the new member of the crew, even though she says it's only temporary, Luffy won't let her go, that's for sure.
Aside from resembling Kuina, her great talent in the path of swordsmanship, and her dream of recovering all the famous swords, she does not have any Rarity.
And as for Evan…
He had the most power in the crew, but he also possessed the idiosyncrasies of several crew members. He enjoyed watching the chaos, extorted money from Nami, was lustful, and often acted recklessly. Evan was like a combination of various members of the crew, but he was also the most normal among them.
Evan needed to bear the weight of the Straw Hat Pirates and become the strongest member. It was a role he had willingly taken on.
"There's light ahead!"
"Wait, why is there light in a place like this?" Usopp pointed to the bright light up ahead and asked, feeling that it was unusual to find light in such a location.
But deep down, he had a feeling that encountering light in a place like this was illogical.
"Bright light?" Zoro and Sanji also looked puzzled.
Meanwhile, Evan remained calm and collected on the boat.
Evan standing on the boat was calm and composed.
[This is the ship's doctor of the Pirate King crew. I thought that if the storyline deviated from the original, I would never meet this character. But unexpectedly, this character has been here all along.]
"The recent plot developments have left me questioning myself. I feel like a pervert," Evan mused to himself. He wondered how others felt about the recent changes in the canon.
