I went outside and opened up the box, taking out the penguin themed kiddie pool.
Anis let out a delighted chirp as I did. But then her stomach let out a loud grumble.
"Hmm, seems it's lunch time, baby," Rose said, rocking her.
Anis frowned, as if annoyed her tummy got in the way of her fun. Guess I was the same way, though. Sometimes, I ignored my stomach and kept doing whatever I was doing.
Rose glanced at me, a mix of concern and amusement in her eyes. "What do you think? Should we take a break for lunch before the splash party?"
"Definitely," I replied, moving closer to them. "It's important she has enough fuel before all the fun."
Anis pouted for a moment, glancing back at the kiddie pool, her eyes full of longing. "Pingui spla!" she exclaimed, kicking her little legs with frustration.
